Wesley Foundation offers parking passes for OU students

The Wesley Foundation Parking Pass

The Wesley Foundation parking lot sits next to the intersection of Lindsay and Elm. The Wesley parking passes will go on sale April 27.

Students looking for a parking alternative can get a year-long parking pass at the Wesley Foundation located at the corner of Lindsey and Elm.

The foundation will sell exactly 150 parking passes to accommodate the 150 parking spots in their parking lot for the upcoming summer, fall and spring semesters. Students must have a parking pass to park in the lot, said Jennifer Nath, associate director of the foundation.

Each pass will cost $340 and will go on sale April 27. Beginning Aug. 1, passes will cost $375, Nath said.

Engineering senior Daniel Johnson said he has used the foundation's parking since his sophomore year and thinks it is a great option for students.

“I was introduced to this ministry when I was a freshman and when I moved off campus sophomore year it was just very convenient," Johnson said. "It’s very near campus...and you’re pretty well guaranteed a spot here whereas OU just incredibly oversells their parking spots, and so its just very nice and convenient.”

Professional writing senior Rachel Lampi said that she enjoys parking at the Wesley as well.

“I think it’s worth it," Lampi said. "It's so helpful, and it's such a great parking spot, plus you’re pretty much guaranteed one."

To buy a parking pass, students need to go the Wesley Foundation located at 428 W Lindsey St. and fill out a form with their payment.
