OU’s Campus Activities Council is kicking off CAC Homecoming 2018 with a series of events this week for the OU community.
Here is the schedule of events:
Monday, Oct. 22: CAC College Bowl and the office of Graduate Student Life will host a night full of pop trivia in the Oklahoma Memorial Union food court from 7 to 9 p.m. Escape rooms will also be available for students to participate in courtesy of the Union Programming Board. No previous registration is required.
Tuesday, Oct. 23: The Union Programming Board will offer free ice cream and soda floats at noon in honor of the parade floats that will cruise down Boyd Street on Saturday for the Homecoming Parade.
Wednesday, Oct. 24: Celebrate OU’s spirit of service from noon to 2 p.m. with CAC’s official philanthropy, Soonerthon, which benefits the Oklahoma Children’s Hospital Foundation and Children's Miracle Network Hospital in Oklahoma City. A small volunteer fair will also be available for those interested in learning more about service on and off campus.
There will be a benefit night hosted from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Winston, 106 W. Main St., for the OU Alumni Association and Student Alumni Association.
CAC Film Series will host the film A Quiet Place on the lawn of the South Oval from 7:30 to 10 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 25: Students will have a chance to visit OU alumni and sign a banner that will be displayed in front of the Oklahoma Memorial Union throughout OU's Homecoming Reunion Weekend. There will also be a sidewalk chalk competition on Michael F. Price walkway from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Help out CAC Soonerthon and the Children's Miracle Network by attending a benefit night at Fuzzy's from 5 to 8 p.m., Qdoba from 5 to 9 p.m., Baked Bear from 6 to 10 p.m. and Louie's from 6 to 10 p.m. The benefit night will take place at the Campus Corner locations of Fuzzy's, Baked Bear and Louie's and the on-campus location of Qdoba.
Friday, Oct. 26: The OU Alumni Association will be giving campus tours and will also host the Rah! Rally at Lloyd Noble Center starting at 8 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 27: The homecoming parade will begin at 11:30 a.m. and will start at the corner of Asp Avenue and Boyd Street.
Voting for homecoming king and queen will start on Tuesday, Oct. 23. Voting polls will be open on Orgsync through Wednesday, Oct. 24, and the winners will be announced at the game at halftime on Saturday.
