OU Health Sciences Center and Norman campus’ senior vice president and provosts announced the merger of their Institutional Research and Reporting offices in a mass email Thursday.
The office collects university data, such as student enrollment, retention, employee salaries and research proposals, to be used for decision making and policy development.
According to the email, the merger aligns with the university's goal to better serve all OU campuses, as outlined in its “Lead On, University” strategic plan.
The email states Susannah Livingood will serve as director of the Institutional Research and Reporting across the two campuses and report to both provost offices.
Livingood has worked at the Norman Institutional Research and Reporting office for 15 years and has served as associate provost and director of the office since 2013. She oversees institutional data and reporting, data governance and accreditation and compliance.
Before joining OU, Livingood worked at Oklahoma City University and the University of Michigan.
The merger comes roughly a week after the announcement of the first university-wide chief artificial intelligence officer, which will provide direction for AI and data science efforts across both campuses.
