My 21 Experience

The Daily's AJ Lansdale recounts his 21st birthday experiences.

It's like the pot calling the kettle black. Then calling each other stupid. Then kissing.

Lady Gaga is insane and we all know that. "But she's an artist, Mark!" Whatever, I don't care. Would it be all right for me to walk around, poop in hand, eating away, but I claimed I was an artist? No. No it would not. But whatever, she does what ...

I blame all bad things on someone else

Sarah Palin might be like dry ice. Follow me inside for an explanation.

Your long hair is stupid

Your long hair is stupid. Thursday, June 3, 2010 I hate guys with long hair. They look ridiculous. Sometimes, when I see a guy with long hair, I think "is that a woman? Because if it is, she is not very pretty. Well, okay, she is sort of pretty, but ...

Me and Taylor Swift

Alex Ewald/The Oklahoma Daily I can pretty much say my life is like a Taylor Swift song– at least I wish it could be, so it’d be more interesting than the words I’m putting into this blog, and more memorable … often looking to songs for inspiration or articulation about ...

Freshman thoughts

Alex Ewald/The Oklahoma Daily So, right now I – Alex Ewald, star freshman – am trying to start my Mass Comm. homework, my first real college assignment. It’s really a big moment for me, so I’d appreciate some sympathy here. Anyway, back to the, quote, “Mass Communication, Culture, and Media ...

movies that have to do with the lack of higher education

Road Trip (2000) This piece of comedic gold directed by Todd Phillips is about exactly what the title says, a road trip. A campus tour guide named Barry Manilow (Tom Green, “The Tom Green Show”) - this joke is probably one of my favorites to quote – tells the story ...

Abusing the power of movie quotations

No matter what the situation is, we can find a movie quote for it. For decades Hollywood writers have given us golden quotes that we can use in our lives outside of the movie theater. Whether they are inappropriately funny or so deep that it would even make God weep, these quotes have become a part of our everyday diction.

Spring Break Movie Watching

Spring Break just came and went, so I was able to catch up on a few movies that came out in theaters. I got to see movies from both ends of the spectrum as three movies made me laugh very hard and cringe so bad that I may have died a little bit inside.

Spring Break Editor's Note

It's Thursday before spring break (which in the newsroom is like a Friday, due to the fact we don't work the next day) and I'm ready to go.

In defense of 'Watchmen'

Usually, I write my blog every week about movies I would recommend to you based on a genre of choice, but honestly, I have nothing. But, I did see “Watchmen” twice last weekend and have read and heard many complaints about it that I would like to address.

Why I can't wait to see 'Watchmen'

Usually, I blog about different movies in various genres, but with my most anticipated movie of the year coming out this weekend, I wanted to talk about it.

YouTube Videos of the Week
