I believe many Muslims who immigrated to America came here to be free from the shackles of Sharia law, which governed many of their home countries. Sharia LAW is the absolute opposite of religious freedom. It's the end result of Islamism - political Islam which goes way beyond the simply private practice of one's religion.
I noticed Shayna Daitch who proposed this resolution is pro-Israel. The man who sued the state works for CAIR. CAIR was started by leaders of the Islamic Association of Palestine (IAP), an overt arm of the Islamic supremacist Muslim Brotherhood. Hamas, in turn was started by the Muslim Brotherhood in Palestine - which seeks to destroy Israel for Islam. Hello???
Nihad Awad is one of CAIR's founders and was one of the former leaders of IAP. He is CAIR National Executive Director and is currently raising money to fight the state. It's tax-deductible, too!
Nihad Awad was secretly recorded on tape by the FBI at a meeting with Hamas people in America shortly before they were declared a terrorist group. At this meeting they talked of ways to hide the fund raising they did for Hamas and the need to create another organization with less Islamist hues - you know, CAIR.

CAIR was started by leaders of an overt arm of the Islamic Supremacist Muslim Brotherhood. Muneer Awad was featured over the weekend and today (last I checked) on a website named "Ikhwanophobia" which exposes those who oppose/fear members of the Mulim Brotherhood. In this case, I guess they mean Oklahoma but they weren't specific on that part. The Muslim Brotherhood's official English language website links to Ikhwanophobia.
Did I mention CAIR spends time on occasion on college campuses?

blueinared, Islam isn't a race so your name-calling makes no sense. I know of four divorce cases in four different states where sharia law was attempted; New Jersey, Maryland, Michigan and Texas. In the Texas case it was determined at the appeals court the agreement made through the Texas Islamic Court (that's right) was valid.

Sharia law is expanding worldwide in case you haven't noticed. If, you haven't noticed then I urge you to put this on your radar and do some serious research. There are Islamic supremacist movements in the world such as the Muslim Brotherhood, OIC and Hizb ut Tahrir. They all have a presence in America.
Vote yes on SQ 755 to provide Oklahoma a reasonabale safeguard in the coming decades.

Activism taught by CAIR? Wonderful
Too bad this event happened right on the heels of CAIR Oklahoma's Board Chair being charged with mortgage fraud. Michael Aziz Gipson had to have been under federal investigation while he was at CAIR. He plead not guilty in late July to charges of conspiracy, wire fraud and money laundering in connection with fraudulent mortgages. His name was quickly removed from CAIR Oklahoma's website and replaced by Dr. Amir Khaliq, who could be a professor at OU's College of Public Health with the exact same name. But, did you learn about any of this from the local media? Of course not. A few days later, on August 2nd, CAIR's website issued a press release that they are looking for a new director. Interesting timing.
Dawud Walid, one of the keynote speakers here, spoke out just days ago about CAIR's new lawsuit against the Michigan state police over information they seek when the FBI tried to serve arrest warrants which resulted in a shoot-out and the death of controversial Imam Luqman Ameen Abdullah who allegedly was leading a radical separatist mosque and involved in a stolen goods ring. A number of others were arrested.
Read the FBI statement about this here: http://detroit.fbi.gov/dojpressrel/pr...
If you take the time to research CAIR, an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas terror funding trial, you will find they stand up for some rather concerning folks like convicted terror supporter Sami al Arian. Some of their actions also seem bent on subverting the FBI and others who are charged with keeping our country safe.

CAIR Oklahoma's announcements for interns states that some duties of being an intern involves writing letters-to-the-editor to counter any negative press! I've been an intern in a public official's office before and they would never have an college intern do such a thing. It's completely unethical to me. On the other hand, maybe Ms. Reed just decided to write this all on her own.
In 2009, Elashi was sentenced to 65 years in prison on federal charges of funneling 12 million dollars to Hamas. CAIR's own document titled Top Internet Disinformation About CAIR states: "The fact that Elashi was once briefly associated with one of our more than 30 regional chapters has no legal significance to our corporation since any actions he took were outside the scope and chronology of his association with one of our chapters."
CAIR admits Elashi was involved with CAIR! One has to wonder what their definition of brief association really means. CAIR did not offer any further explanation.
The vague claim about links to terrorism as Reed put it can be found in court documents and there's nothing vague about it! For example: in U.S. vs. Sabri Benkahla, "...CAIR and the Muslim American Society was described on page 58 as arms or founded by leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood. Moreover, from its founding by Muslim Brotherhood leaders, CAIR conspired with other affiliates of the Muslin Brotherhood to support terrorists. See Government's Memorandum in Opposition to CAIR's Motion for Leave to File a Brief.etc., in United States vs. Holy Land Foundation Cr. No. 3-04-cr-240-G (N.D. Tx. September 4, 2007. Proof that the conspirators agreed to use deception to conceal from the American public their connections to terrorists was introduced at both the Texas trial in 2007 and also at a Chicago trial the previous year. United States vs. Askqai-, el al.. No. 03-978 (N.D. 111.2006)..."
In a NewsOK article on 1/60/09: "America should take immediate steps to end Israel’s "illegal and immoral” offensive against the Gaza Strip Hamas rulers, the executive director of the Oklahoma City chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations said Monday.
And on 1/5/09, U.S. Rep, Mary Fallen spoke out against Hamas, Hashmi said Fallin does not understand the merits of taking a neutral stand in the conflict (KTUL)

Razi Hashmi is an employee of CAIR. He works at their office in Oklahoma City.
Hashmi has shilled for Hamas in the press at least two times, that I am aware. Once when he complained about the illegal and immoral offensive against the "Hamas rulers" in Gaza and then when he told U.S. Rep. Mary Fallen she should be neutral when she spoke out against Hamas! That's in print. And let's not forget the protest he put together in OKC last January. Did you see the hateful and offensive signs? That's all documented in video and photos.
In U.S. United States vs. Askqai-, el al.. No. 03-978 (N.D. 111.2006)..."
Let me repeat from the federal document: "CAIR conspired with other affiliates of the Muslin Brotherhood to support terrorists"
Muslims who practice secular Islam are cool but when your mosque partners with an organization such as CAIR that's a whole different issue.
Oklahomans are starting to wake up.

Fuller is a political activist trying to promote his new book where he claimed the stuggle for Islamic supremacy simply doesn't exist and that religion plays no role, whatsoever:
From a Muslim Public Affairs Council panel discussion about his new book last October:
"The major thesis of this book is that if there had been no Islam and no Prophet Muhammad, that essentially the relationship between the West and the Middle East would not be significantly different," Fuller said. "This tension has been around even before Christianity. --- "This is ultimately about human nature and not religion at all --"
Joining Fuller at this panel was Dr. Masher Hathout who has called the Israeli's butchers who commits acts of terrorism, which is on video. Houthout has also claimed the U.S. in under Israeli occupation.
It seems to me, Fuller has a political agenda strongly supported by Muslim activists here who want to change the perception of what is really going on which is not supported by facts.
