This article, and the responses to it, is a great example of what's wrong with this country. People are more worried about the credibility of a particular entity than the actual message being espoused. Is Calvey a racist? Does CAIR have "terrorist connections"? I honestly couldn't care less, as these things are irrelevant. What are the actual substantive points being raised by each party? Does anyone know? Do these substantive points even exist?

Jeers to the Poseidon Stage? JEERS?!?! Are you kidding me?
You're the one that fell short if you only went there to see Delta Spirit and Cake, considering you're to be writing a review of the festival for The Daily. Citizen Cope was amazing, as was The Black Crowes. And Blue October's performance was probably the best of the festival (second maybe to Gogol Bordello). When it started raining during 'Into the Ocean', it felt like God himself was the stage director. It was one of the most memorable and moments of any live show I've ever been to.
But of course, you weren't there to see this, because throughout 16 hours of performances on the main stage, you only visited it to see two bands. And then you have the audacity to JEER the stage? You claim this stage lacked the "big names", or whatever, but Cake was honestly enough to get me to make the 2 hour drive from Norman to Tulsa. Everything else was bonus as far as I'm concerned.
And those weren't "scheduling slip-ups" as you call them, it was just a GOOD SHOW. So good that it made it hard to pick what stage to be at during particular performances. It's simply a coincidence that two bands you liked and wanted to see were performing at the same time. Don't blame your opinions on the people who had the daunting task of scheduling Dfest.
It was all cheers for me. I can't wait until next year.

@eightbitgirl
How is that NOT a faculty endorsement? Eichman flat out asks students to vote for Tyler. I'm not sure how much clearer it can possibly be. It's the equivalent of a campaign ad.

I guess we need to get a law that bans the 10 Commandments as well...
