The problem with our budget is that politicians spend too much freaking money on crap we either don't need or isn't the federal government's responsibility. We don't need to raise taxes to account for our spending. We need to reduce spending to keep taxes low.

This is a misleading title. It says "today" but today is Monday, not Tuesday.

Wikileaks isn't journalism. It's treason for any American involved and an act of war by any non-American involved. We should treat it as such.

I thought the entire purpose of the Lloyd Noble shuttle was that it allowed people to get to campus without having to pay for a parking permit. I guess the tuition hikes weren't enough this year. Awesome.

B: I have faith in a God that watches over us. I don’t put much merit in the Bible. I think it’s just an old book written by a bunch of old men.
J: Do you consider yourself a Christian?
B: Yeah.
Contradiction? I don't know how you can be a Christian and then not put much merit in the Bible. It's the basis of the Christian faith. All you do when you say things like this is show that you have no idea what you're talking about.

This opinion does not adequately take into account the people who are licensed to carry concealed weapons. You write about it like anyone and everyone would be able to pack guns on campus. This isn't true. To get the license you have to jump though a lot of hoops. You have to take classes, know your firearm inside and out, go through a background check, and file a lot of paperwork. The people with concealed carry licenses are not the average person--they are trained with their weapons and know all the rules and uses. These are not the people we need to fear having guns. We need to fear the people who are not licensed who would bring a gun onto campus.
A law-abiding citizen in possession of a quality firearm, who knows how and when to use it properly, is a beautiful thing.

I guess we're ignoring the decades-long "progressive" political policy in New Orleans that crippled the city's infrastructure. Never happened.
