This has got to be the worst garbage I have ever had to read in my life. What do you expect us to wear if we aren't going to wear uniforms made my a major manufacturer such as Nike, homemade jerseys knitted by player's mothers? The new uniforms are modeled to look similar to players in the Bud Wilkinson era, to honor them. If you honestly are offended by the battle analogy then you are way to sensitive. As has been mentioned previously sports are full of references to war and battle. Get over it. In response to your comments on the stadium, the renovations are to improve the fan experience and to use as recruiting tools. If you expect a good product to be put on the football field than you need to produce quality facilities which starts with a great stadium, which he have. I have been to most all of the big 12 schools and our stadium ranks among the top. You obviously were intrigued enough to pay the $79 dollars for your end zone seats so it's obviously working. If you don't like the way our athletic program runs things then maybe you should do us all a favor and choose a different team. To insult Joe Castiglione is even more asinine than anything you said, which is shocking. He is one of, if not the top athletic director in the country. This article is one of the worst I have read in years. I stopped reading the daily because of it's inept writers, especially in sports, when I was a freshman. I am now a senior and I picked up the paper for once this year, and now I wished I hadn't. First of all Sam made great plays with his feet to pick up small yards on vital third downs instead of forcing throws or throwing away passes for no gain. He threw for a school record total passing and lit up a good Kansas team for 3 touchdowns with no interceptions. He is the best quarterback in school history, which includes most recently a heisman trophy winner and a heisman runner up.

Now let's move on to your comment about OU being able to reach the national title game. OU is currently ranked 4th in the BCS, which is the highest computer ranking for any of the 1 loss teams. Penn State faces a resurging Ohio State squad this weekend and most still travel to Iowa the following week. Granted Iowa is not a great team but neither was Colorado when they knocked off the sooners on the road last year. Alabama must still face Tennessee on the road this week as well as LSU on the road in two weeks. If they pass these tests they will then face likely SEC east champ Florida. It is unlikely they will pass this gaunlet unscathed. This would move OU to #2 in the BCS polls because USC, the 5th ranked BCS team, will not have the computer ranking to leap OU because they do not play a ranked BCS team the rest of the year. This is all assuming Texas doesnt lose any games including the Big 12 title game vs likely Kansas. Sitting at #4 OU has a great shot at the NC game with or without a big 12 title appearence. Both OU and Nebraska have recently appeared in the National Championship game without winning thier conference, or in Nebraska's case thier division of the conference.
