Bachmann is crazy, Palin's a complete idiot. This goes way beyond gender or political party, and right to the heart of both of those characteristics.
Unfortunately, the author uses just about the worst two examples in the world for their thesis, and their points is lost in a sea of tea-party hysteria.

Yo Mike, satire. I don't know about your college, but Price College is pretty good.
Further, most professors in that college make in excess of 100K a year, with several right around 200K a year. I am quite satisfied with my education.

Yeah, during Boren's tenure, OU has really been down in the dumps. Private investment is off. We can't recruit good professors. We haven't built a new building in a decade. Hell even our football team can't have a winning season, but I guess we can't blame the President for that....
Oh wait...hmmmmm......

Boren's doing a great job, and he raises a lot of money.

"Myers attended Oklahoma State University in 1952 at a cost of $65 per semester, he said. After graduating OSU he attended OU Medical School and paid $250 per semester. Adjusted for inflation, Meyers said it should cost $548 per semester for college and $2,084 per semester for medical school to provide the same level of education."
Take out every computer and all the data/networking infrastructure and maybe we can charge that much. We pay for a lot more now, this is a much better school than it was 60 years ago.
Doctors make plenty of money, at $200K+ a year, they can hand over $50K a year or so until they pay off their debts.
This notion that doctors are broke or under financial strain is crap.

Come on down from la-la land, Daily Staff. This is the real world.
I'm honestly impressed that a very young, freshman representative even pulled this off.
Just goes to show you freaking stupid the house is..........

Cut the funding so people will quit whining about it. it's a minimal part of the budget that will be made up by donors.

tubs, what a fantastic oversimplification. The difference is that cutting your family's budget doesn't create hardship, hunger, and homelessness for millions of people.
Maybe it's time for the family's salary to increase, after decades of no (real)growth and watching your boss show up to work in a Lamborghini. I think you deserve it, and he can certainly afford it.
