For someone who "only watched for a minute or so" you seem to have chosen quotes from both the beginning and end of the speech.

"And that’s just the tip of the iceberg of proof of CAIR’s terrorist connections."
Is this an objective statement?
To sound a little less biased I would say, "That is just a few of the mounting allegations against the group's suspected terrorist ties."
Just saying.

I sat behind Sally Kern in line and she was there for over 24 hours just like the rest of us. Just like the Daily to write a statement without checking the facts or citing your sources. I have pictures to prove it.

The coverage of this in today's Daily has only brought this issue back to the surface when it was unnecessary. I feel like his reputation has been tarnished. I feel ashamed of the representations made of him and the greek world. I'm not even greek, but I feel like they have a purpose.
No one remembered who he was until today. I actually heard someone on campus refer to the alcohol policy as "The Hammontree Policy" because of this coverage in the paper.
Sentiments on campus are growing angrier and angrier to the regulations, and it's been building for years. I honestly believe it causes people to drink more, to rebel.
I understand the Daily wanting to stir up controversy... "If it bleeds it leads." It's disgraceful they would exploit it like this. It's distasteful. I know instructors Gaylord teach us ethics in journalism, but I don't know where this coverage went wrong.
The Sigma Chi of today is no where near the Sigma Chi of five years ago, because entities change over time. OU is a great example.
As far as alcohol goes, drinking still happens. I'm sure numbers on the issue aren't as accurate because the policies have only encouraged students to be more elusive.
If anything, the alcohol regulations, (or the "Hammontree Policy" thanks to the coverage of the Daily) should be lifted or modified to where they aren't as strict.

Travis Ruddle has proved once again to be a pompous egomaniac. This, like much of what he does, is a political step to cast himself in a positive light. While I agree that Shack-a-Thon is a noble cause, I don't agree with the writer. This is written like it's intended to be some grand speech yet fails miserably, instead sounding like empty rhetoric.
