Your argument is flawed. You aren't thinking long term. I could glide through college taking easy classes and end up with a 4.0. Unfortunately, once I get the dream job I would soon be fired. Employers expect employees with outstanding resumes to be all the more outstanding in the workplace. I would be severely unprepared for the challenges of occupation if I didn't test myself now.
UOSA presidents and CAC chairs don't become the leaders they are just because they are involved in every club and campus event. They are at the top because they like a challenge and so choose to challenge themselves. I would never want someone so lazy in a position of leadership! So even if you thought you could gain worth with extracurriculars you will never be more then a middle man.

For once in my life I agree with something in the opinion section. Wow. The U.S.A.P.A.T.R.I.O.T. act has got to go!
