DUGAN MUST BE STOPPED!! Disclaimer or no disclaimer, this is trash. Sentimental, glossy, flamboyant trash. If he is not speaking for the GLBT community and is simply sharing his own personal stories, then he needs to start a blog and quit writing columns for ALL to loathe and endure. That way his small (and I do mean small) fanbase can log in and read all his stereotypical gay mumbo-jumbo!! OU students reading this column get a bad taste in thier mouths and it is not fair to the rest of the gay community to be viewed on such narrow and simplistic terms!! If he wants to pout and rant about his "exclusive" feelings, share it with people who care. "The OUt life" is a DISGRACE to every member of the GLBT community. Get a new writer!! There is really no other way to put it. This is offensive, whether intentional or not. He doesn't talk about much at all and what he does talk about is tounge-and-cheek cutesy BS. that only perpertuates stereotypes against gays. It's counterproductive. No one with a functioning brain would be inspired by his words. The only people who appreciate this fluff is Dugan's companions, and that is of course expected!

"phony outrage"? Haha. Mustafa you spend a considerable amount of time taking on the role of sensationalist. Like your gal pal Sarah Palin. Politics had nothing to do with this article, yet you chose to write a six paragraph essay over a film that most individuals have seen and dont need a synopsis for when they can resort to renting the film on their own time. Your comments are always negative, stimulate violence and hatred, and really serve no purpose other than to provide "phony outrage" and to vent about issues not relevant to the article. The "Queer Films" series was an earnest attempt to provide gay students with films that express their concerns and reflect their lives. The people who organized the series wanted to screen films made domestically and internationally, which is a good idea considering the diversity of cultures on campus. FGT is a good film, but not the ideal film for their one month series. They could only choose four films. COME ON DUDE!! Give them a break, just because they didn't choose a film that you were satisfied with doesn't mean the series was any less significant or effective. Also, it reveals once again that people really dont CARE what YOU think. As for your comment "As usual liberals love vile hateful rhetoric as long as they are dishing it out, but they suddenly rediscover scruples when it comes back at them," I am NOT intimated by YOU. My previous post was in direct opposition of your "lenghty" and "pointless" comment. You are on this site regularly, shoving your agenda down the throats of people who keep vomiting it back up on your face. Someone who writes negative comments as frequently as you must be lonely and bitter. Once again, GET A LIFE!! Share your opinions with people who care. I do not get on this site to impose my unwarranted views on writers and users. I get on this site when an idiot like you posts something that warrants a rebuttal. Keep on posting mustafa, god knows you got nothing better to do. I anticipate more "phony outrage" from you soon. HYPOCRITE!!

Atleast he spelled it right in the last paragraph. Looks like he knows who she is, but made a slight typo. The editor of the section should have caught that error. That is his job, you know. Dont blame the author. Instead of calling petty things to people's attention, how about saying something more constructive, like what you thought of the review as a whole and not just a single misspelled word. What were you trying to do, make the author feel bad?

"Matthewmurrayday" you are probably one of those individuals who needs Obama's birth certificate to prove he was born in America. I wouldn't doubt that is the case with you. My comment was posted to call attention to all the misinformed users who have the audacity to leave a comment before doing thier homework. "CONCRETE PROOF"? Wow. Now way a journalist from OU is related to a LOCAL meteorologist, right? I mean, you'd expect Lunden to be a news anchor or something. I mean, anyone related to Gary England must be a high profile figure like Bristol Palin, right? Next to Rachel Maddow, Sarah Palin, and Chris Matthews, Gary England is sitting on top of the world. All Gary's relatives live in mansions, sip on cocktails, and drive BMWs. COME ON MAN!! Listen to what youre saying. I imagine there are several people on campus related to somebody prestigious. Its a big campus you know, we OU students arent all air-headed and insignificant beings who cant do thier homework before leaving a comment about writer they know nothing about. Like "kcreasey" said "Look at my previous comment for the answer." All the infomation you needed was at your disposal, from Lunden's last name to Gary England's reference to him in his answers. So, you didnt know? That's fine. Then why are you leaving a comment? It's not common knowledge, but those reading that piece could easily connect the dots. Lunden is pretty well known on campus, why dont you go by the newroom and ask him if its true. I for one know it to be true. But for all you skeptics, do some research to rid yourself of uncertainty. My point: Know what youre saying before you post a lie saying its a "fake interview" when really youre the one out of the loop. Also, I havent lived in OK my whole life, just a few years. Next time you leave a comment, make sure you know what youre saying, otherwise people may criticize you for being misinformed.

Dugan, this is stereotypical and hollow. You have literally done nothing for the GLBT community with this garbage. You should not be the voice of "The OUt life" because your views are simplistic and narrow. You are doing them a disservice by writing such a tongue-and-cheek column on rather serious issues. You are only giving heterosexual people fuel for more hatred when you write such fluff. You do not speak for me or any of my friends, I am in complete disagreement with this as a member of this community. Find a new and better writer who will actually take these issues serious instead of simply proving hetero's negative notions about us.

This is very moving! I love Roger Ebert. I think he would really appreciate this affectionate write up on his life. You seem to care a great deal about him, it shows. It is very sweet!

I really hope this fourth installment does not diminish the franchise's wide appeal. Though, I have to disagree with you on the third installment. It was not the best in the franchise, but it was still worthy entry. I'm excited to see the new one.

Mustafa, its a movie. You dont like it, don't watch it. There are aspects to that movie that are very effective and I'm speaking as a student with a film and video studies major. Youre evil because your comments are loathsome, racist, crude, and ignorant. Maybe you should organize the "Queer Films" series next year if youre so concerned. Of course, they wouldnt let you, seeing as how you have a reputation of ranting and putting down various groups of people. Do you go to this school? Do some homework, study for an exam, I dont care. Just quit posting comments that serve no purpose other than to stir up peoples emotions. You must be deranged, mental, and bored to keep disgracing writers and users with your agendas. Once again, we dont care. So why keep talking? Oh yeah, you dont have a life. Well, everybody has to find meaning in something. You need a new hobby.
