You don't get prosecuted for downloading songs - you get in trouble when you allow other people to download the content from you. The comparison made with regards to stealing is not valid.

It seems like Deming gets off by rejecting consensus scientific beliefs. While Deming fails to make a point in this particular article - it falls in line with his previous work. In his debate with Prof. Karoly a couple years ago on global warming - he failed to present scientific evidence to dispute his point. In this case he criticizes Darwin's theories while ignoring progress made in the past 150 years. These flaws are his stepping stone to criticizing the entire scientific establishment for their "propaganda." I can only imagine that he has become more embarrassed as his support dwindles from the global warming skeptic crowd. He will be able to find more fervent supporters criticizing evolution...as long as they don't find his papers that criticize intelligent design.
