I agree with this solution to the extraneous problem. The real problem is Federal Law. Immigration should be easier and Welfare at least on the Federal Level should be abolished this will get rid of the PROBLEM illegal immigrants. Why should freedom be so hard to obtain. Whether it's financial freedom or religious freedom. New citizens are required to know more than born and bred citizen, why is that?

Alright, probably too late to be heard but whatever.
I am not clear on the purpose of the UOSA but I am sure that whatever it's job is it has to do with the University of Oklahoma and nothing else. Condemning a State Law only aggravates the feeling of lack-of-purpose felt by many who refrain from participating in student government.
Beyond the fact that today there is no problem, we have a urge to act before there is a problem. It has become a problem in Britain. Someone who we are allied with and who we have borrowed our case law judicial system is NOW having this problem. We don't want religion becoming a factor in our courts. PERIOD. Separation of Church and State. If we can keep it out of the courts it can't be used on non-Muslims.
This law does not affect Native Americans despite the fact that the United States gives them license to pretend they are autonomous. And even at that, they are still American Treaties with these Nations not International Law. It also does not impede the religious rights of practice of Islam except to do that which is illegal by previous laws such as murder or bodily injury.
MYTHMAN - Since when has Biblical Law or Hindu Law been Legal? We don't have a problem with them, they aren't trying to infiltrate our judicial system. Unfortunately Sharia is being pushed on others around us. It will become a problem. Not because Islam is a problem or that their religious laws are wrong it is the inherent fact that today Islam has been hijacked by extremists who want to force Islam on everyone or rather use Islam to subjugate under pretense of their religion. This has been done by Christians and Hindus in the past except they have now settled down. If we have a resurgence of Christian, Hindu, Buddhist, or Confucian Extremism then we will address them.
Zorrols God - You don't understand the CJM model at all. Unfortunately neither do most Christians Jews and Muslims, because their prophet-revelation model is broken and rejected leaving them wandering alone in a world constructed by philosophers mingled with scripture.
NOW THE REAL REASON THE LAW IS IDIOTIC. Because lawyers will find a way around them. Especially since most Justices and Supreme court justices are Democrats who will do anything for power. Unlike the republicans which have standards - they're like the courtesans of politicians.

There are certainly more relevant and important jobs that could be done in Norman. Portland is by far not the most important, or problematic road or road system that needs to be updated. Nor is its asthetic appeal crucial.

What is the difference between GNH ad CEH (Coed)? Seriously? What is going to stop antihomo heterosexual couples from occupying the space in protest and still persecute. If this is about segregating yourself into housing just for the GLBT, how have you won anything. Now there is a concentrated location to direct all bigotry and hatred. You aren't fixing anything this way. The only way is for society to change. And the best way is for education AND NOT FORCE. As a former proselyter of faith, persuasion comes from building on shared ideals (among many other things) - say like loving your neighbor and enemy (even if merely perceived).
