Yes, a reconfigure of the structure controlling the state of Oklahoma's education governance is completely equal to dismantling the legislative and judicial branch of the federal government. Tinfoil hat much?

She may control the budget, but does she appropriate her own funds? This article makes it seem as though Baresi is now the new overlord (or Imperial Emperor, as the case may be) who has the state's blank checkbook at her disposal.

Much ado about nothing.

Bravo. What a great thing for President Boren to address this problem so quickly. Excellent.

Parking regulations, VII, C., 1,
a. Vehicle owners riding the CART shuttle do not have to pay a permit fee or display any university permit to park in the Lloyd Noble Center parking lots.

Page 9. Parking Regulations. https://www.ou.edu/parking/parkingBoo...

Page 3, III,

"The president of the university may revise, alter or amend these regulations when conditions warrant. The text of all substantive changes will be published in The Oklahoma Daily (the student newspaper) on at least four successive days at least one week prior to implementation."

Did this happen? Four consecutive days?

"The university reserves the right to change the allocation of parking spaces when deemed necessary in view of overall university community needs, including, but not limited to, visitor parking for university special events. Temporary changes in allocation and/or in the enforcement posture relating to these regulations need not be published or otherwise publicly announced prior to implementation. The Parking Office will make a reasonable effort to notify beforehand any user group that can be anticipated to be affected by temporary changes in allocation or availability."

So, is this a temporary change? Is it really necessary for overall university community needs?

This can and should, I feel, be challenged.

"The University of Oklahoma Parking Regulations are published annually and approved by the President for the Board of Regents for each academic year. The President of the University may revise, alter or amend these regulations when conditions warrant. The regulations are issued to each individual upon purchase of their parking permit and are also available in the Parking Office throughout the year."

So, did President Boren approve of this? If so, why? Since he apparently has direct authority, it would seem he could use an e-mail or two.

You have got to be kidding me. I bet those Miley Cyrus and Jonas Brothers shows were pretty awesome, too!

This is the best class ever. I highly recommend it. Professor Jones just makes it that much better by being super cool to work with. If you don't take this class, you're seriously missing out.

I agree and of course I didn't mean that the impending onslaught of misinformation was the only problem with Citizens United. However, it was the only example that was given to us on a silver platter by the Daily this week.

You highlighted another of the many problems of that decision, I just focused on the media one. I'm sure you will agree that this November will be one of the most contentious and generally jacked up elections we have ever had.

"the fact that President Barack Obama has created such a visible aura that it’s considered offensive and unpatriotic to even think about vocally criticizing the president."

Is that a fact? If so, there are a bunch of offensive and unpatriotic people out there.

The problem is that, unlike GWB, Obama's criticism started before he even took office. GWB's took a while to really get going. There was constant criticizing with no basis other than the fact he was a socialist/Muslim/non-US citizen, etc, which was ridiculous. There seems to be a bit of tide turning now to where people are criticizing actual policies, which is fine.

So, your real point should have been that you hate it when actual policy criticism of Obama is taken as racism and is lumped with all of the ridiculous personal attacks that were so prevalent earlier this year.

The proper prayer should be for the wisdom and power to retain and put forth the knowledge that you have studied. In this case, you are merely praying for an increase in your cognitive abilities, rather than an outside help with the actual answers. This could be equated to having a former football player help you with your technique if you were a wide receiver. That, in itself, is not illegal. Lying about it, on the other hand, would be.

Bravo. Thanks for clearing up what our prayers should actually be.

hehe
