I lived in Campus Lodge for a year, including the summer. For the ameneties it offered, it was slightly better than the dorms - but then I also had to commute an extra 10-15 minutes, and parking on campus is just plain bad. It usually added another 10 minute walk on top of that. I loved living in the dorms and I'm still friends with a ton of the guys I lived with. Sure it may be a little pricey compared to off-campus options, but they are... off-campus. There's something to be said for location. That's something I learned very quickly after moving out of the dorms. It's an experience... try and enjoy it. Honestly, I rarely spent much time in my room anyway, I was usually hanging out with other people somewhere else. If you think these dorms are bad, try actually VISITING the other schools you're describing. My room in Adams was renovated with fairly new furniture, everything was well taken care of. Some of the dorms I visited at other schools were filthy and old in comparsion. I'd rather have a smaller, clean environment than a bigger but poorly maintained space.

Hey, remember Texas players sitting on their couches when they didn't even make it to a bowl? Let's be grateful for the fact that we have such a history of winning, that a 3-loss season is a major letdown. A ton of teams would kill for just 3 losses.

What a great attitude to have. What a great guy. Glad we got to see him play during his time here at OU, he sure was fun to watch.

Jokes about "Gaylord" and wife-beating. Should have expected it coming from OSU, I suppose. I thought this was supposed to be clever, not offensive.

The OSU defense isn't that bad - when you take out your first stringers in the first half of the first quarter, you're bound to give up some yards. Gotta respect the opponent.

Ryan and Dominique have been two of the most fun to watch this season. Not only great players on the field, but off the field as well. It's truly a shame and serves to remind us that football is a rough sport and you can't take any moment for granted. Ryan, it's been great watching you during your time at OU, I can't wait to see you tearing it up in the NFL. I just hope there's an arrow on the screen pointing to where you're hiding during the team huddles...

Also worth mentioning that these kind of violations happen at restaurants everywhere around town - it's worth checking your frequent spots every once in a while.
