Good luck with that one. You think the polarization of our lawmakers today could even attempt something to this extent? I think not.

So true, that is why we need to purchase locally. Americans will find this concept very hard to wrap their minds around. We aren't able to sacrifice for future generations. In a world where 6.3 billion people want to live like 300 million Americans, things don't look pretty in the future. I hope that we can lead in example, but that of course is a fairy tale.

This comes to show Student Congress can't do anything to protect us from even some of the most dangerous things like cancer. Boooo on Student Congress.

Why Oklahoma, why? Inhofe went to school 30 years ago, he needs to go back to school and get caught back up in elementary science.

I like Thomas Friedmans reasonings about why we need action. Check out his new Op-Ed and all those that think we should not take action to protect our environment (AKA the underlining factor to economy) it really shows that you don't understand anything. We have to change, we don't have a choice.

"Climate change can be remembered by future generations as a great calamity that Christians could not summon the moral strength to stop, or as a great challenge everyone worked together to overcome. One of these is certainly preferable—and also pleasing to God, who gave His children the world to tend and preserve." - Katie Paris and Dan Nejfelt of Relevant Magazine

h&f Should really make a commitment and we need Fair Trade clothes in the Union. Would OU even listen to that if they knew they might lose a profit, but in the process know they are morally doing the right thing.

Thank you democracynow. There are too many issues facing this student body to really worry about protecting themselves from the student body. A protest in front of the Conoco Student Center would be awesome. SDS should support that and demand real action on Dead Week, Green Initiatives, Tuition, and helping the student body with other important issues and actually, dare I say, reach out to the student body? *gasp*
