It's obvious some myth busting needs to happen:

Comprehensive report on why it might take victims some time to go to law enforcement
http://www.ndaa.org/pdf/pub_victim_re...

Bureau of Justice statistics on sexual assault
http://bjs.ojp.usdoj.gov/content/pub/...

And this is pretty widespread, but the FBI estimates that between 2-8% of all reports of are false. So let's take caution before we throw around comments that false reports are such a huge problem that they'll have a discernible impact on how we structure policy.

It IS a sham clinic, and my visit was full of inaccurate information.

Here's a video documenting my experience (and few others' experiences around the country):

Just because you don't throw some bloody fetus pics in someone's face doesn't make you better, it just makes you less obnoxious (for the moment). I would argue your fake clinic parading around with a sense of medical legitimacy is more dangerous, because had I not been more educated about the issues, I might have believed some of the lies you sold me during my visit.

I think my favorite memory was when I was given a Bible after you all told me I wasn't pregnant, and a booklet that told me I could restore my "second virginity".

So thank you, Eden Clinic, for giving me an opportunity to share with the OU community the truth about your "clinic". For folks needing medical care related to STD/pregnancy issues, visit Planned Parenthood, Goddard, or some other facility without a coercive agenda.

"I can't stand it when people make race the central issue"

I don't know your racial identity, Ricky, but that's awfully narrow of you. I like bruenig, couldn't get past the first few sentences!

This is what it sounds like:

"Oh, I'm just so sick of hearing about discrimination and prejudice and just hearing not-nice things I'd rather not think about because my privileged world is too pretty to mess up!"

Being the first black identified President, I have a hard time believing race would not be a central issue in discussions about Obama's criticism and approval. You must be one of those people who think we live in a "post-racism" world. Makes me sick.

Not that I don't appreciate all perspectives on this issue, but when is a woman going to weigh in on this "abortion article series" the Daily seems to be pursuing? As in most conversations about abortion, women's voices are conspicuously silent in our campus newspaper. I'm just plain tired of hearing men argue about a right they can't exercise and about a situation that primarily affects a population they aren't a member of. Say it with me: co-optation.

"Also, because the event is in November, Eppler said the executive committee members thought a daytime event would be warmer."

Yes, because no homeless person lives outside between November and February. Why don't you give the NorthFace off your self-serving, hypocritical backs?
