Dressing up as a Holocaust victim is deplorable. What I find equally deplorable though, is the way the state of Israel has manipulated the Holocaust to justify its occupation and killings of Palestinians. Violence does not justify more violence. Israel's skewed rhetoric is disrespectful to the 6 million who gave their lives in the Holocaust.

The movement is not about "the government's overbearing impact in finances." It is about major corporations in the United States not taking responsibility...

True character shows in a time of defeat. We know now what type of leaders Ally and Zac would have been. I am so incredibly proud of the campaign Franz and Cory ran. Not once did I see posts during the initial defeat defaming or slandering Ally or Zac. I am utterly ashamed to see these comments! Im glad the friends of these people will not be running our student government and now more than ever I am convinced that Franz and Cory were the perfect people for UOSA!

I had no idea what the ranking was for! Had I known I would have ranked!

I loved how the election board would scream at Franz and Cory and other candidates then go give Ally and Zac hugs

And the UOSA tradition continues.... The election board was absolutely classless. How can you forget to call the other candidates. That is 100% unacceptable. Each member of the election board as well had a personal tie to the Ally and Zac campaign. Bias much?

Well said Jssooner4!

Apparently HIV/AIDS is a conspiracy.

Whether you like it or not people are having sex! And to ignore it is to only contribute to the spread of STDs. STDs have existed for hundreds of years, Catherine of Aragon (who was a devout Catholic and only had sex with Henry VII)and Bloody Mary suffered from Syphylis.

Whether abstinent or sexually active it is important to have knowledge of safe-sex practices. Carrying a condom, whether you need it or not, is like carrying a bandaid or tampon. You never know when you might need it!

SeamusMcCallahan:

"Feminist itch"?! Perhaps that is a bit uncalled for. Perhaps what students would like is clarification of the purpose of the cartoon. It seems rather ambiguous.
As for negative effects, how is promoting safe, consensual sex vilifying morality. Yes, having sex with multiple partners is hazardous but denying the fact the people have sex only contributes to the problem rather than helps.

How can condom dispersal have negative effects? Are you saying that condom dispersal would lead to rape? Providing contraception merely sends a message that if you choose to have sex then you should be, heaven forbid, PREPARED!!!!

I was volunteering at the OU Women's Outreach table yesterday. I tried to pass out condoms but people shyed away, gave excuses, or just plain ignored me. Why would you turn down FREE birth control! I applauded those who had the courage to come up and take one. Some with enthusiasm and a smile. While perhaps they were showing off this nonetheless is a great stride. We should not be afraid to talk about birth control. We are sexual beings! We are young! I respect those who choose not to have sex and those who do. The biggeset issue is talking about it. We cannot act as if ignoring it will make sex, stds, pregnancy, etc go away. Open discourse about safe sex practices will lead to healthier choices!
