Meredith Moriak currently works for the news desk covering research and the Health Sciences Center. The public relations sophomore from Bedford, Texas spent her freshman year interning in the newsroom and plans to continue reporting throughout college. Moriak has served on the executive board for High School Leadership Conference, performed with the University Chorus and is a President’s Community Scholars alumna. She is a member of the Native American Journalists Association, Public Relations Student Society of America, American Indian Scholars, Gamma Beta Phi Society and serves as Co-Publicity chair of Alpha Lambda Delta. She also works as a Peer Educator for OU Alcohol Education. Outside of the university, Moriak is involved with First Presbyterian Church of Norman and has worked at Presbyterian church camps in Whitney and Gilmer, Texas for the past three summers. After graduation, Moriak hopes to work in a metropolitan area as a newspaper reporter before attending graduate school.
