Oklahoma's softball team was voted as the No. 1 team in the Big 12 Preseason Coaches' Poll. The 2019 poll marks the seventh year in a row and the 10th time in the last 11 years that the team was ranked first in the preseason.

Oklahoma received a first place vote from all six other head coaches in the conference, finishing with the maximum of 36 points. Following the Sooners in the poll are Texas at No. 2 with 29 points and Baylor at No. 3 with 26 points.

The Sooners have won the last seven regular season Big 12 championships and are coming off their 12th Women's College World Series appearance. Their first game will be against Syracuse on Feb. 8 at the GCU Kickoff Tournament in Phoenix, Arizona.
