Oklahoma (19-12, 7-11 Big 12), playing as the No. 7 seed, leads No. 10 seed West Virginia (12-19, 4-14 Big 12), 35-33, in the first round of the Big 12 Tournament in Kansas City, Missouri.
In a first half that saw eight lad changes, the Mountaineers had an advantage over an OU squad that had a slow start. West Virginia is 4-15 from beyond the three-point line while OU has landed one of their four three-point attempts.
The latter 10 minutes of the half saw a surge of the Sooners' offense that cut the WVU lead more and more, and ultimately taking the lead after a senior guard Christian James three-pointer. Sophomore forward Brady Manek leads the Sooners with 10 points on 5-8 shooting from the field.
West Virginia has been able to make four-of-five free throws while OU hasn't made a single trip to the foul line.
