OU coach Lon Kruger draws up a play in the game against Texas Feb. 23.

Miami assistant basketball coach Alvin "Pooh" Williamson is likely to join Oklahoma head coach Lon Kruger's coaching staff, per a report from The Oklahoman.

Williamson has had assistant coaching jobs at multiple schools, including Tulsa, Texas A&M and SMU. Williamson was Tulsa's interim head coach in the team's 2004-05 season where the team went 7-15.

Williamson was a point guard for Tulsa, his alma mater, from 1991-95.

Williamson is filling the vacant assistant coaching position after former Oklahoma assistant coach Chris Crutchfield left for an assistant coaching job at Arkansas.
