Oklahoma men's basketball coach Lon Kruger has denied that he was interviewed for the UCLA coaching job, per a press release.

Ben Bolch of the LA Times announced Sunday night on Twitter that Kruger was interviewed by the Bruins, but less than an hour later, Kruger announced that he had "not interviewed for the job at UCLA, nor have I had any contact with anyone from UCLA” in an OU press release.

Kruger took the Sooners to the second round of the NCAA Tournament this season, after a first-round win against Ole Miss. The Sooners went on to lose to Virginia in the second round.

Kruger's tenure with Oklahoma includes a trip to the Final Four in the 2015-16 season. The 66-year-old coach has an all-time coaching record of 639-409.
