The Daily has also learned that the Mansfield, Texas, native is not in the transfer portal. It is unclear when Brooks will return to team activities. The Daily reached out to the program at 1:12 p.m. Monday, but has not received an official comment on Brooks' absence.

Pledger, who rushed for 179 yards total in 2018.
