Prosecutors dismissed former Oklahoma running back Roy Finch's charges of domestic abuse and kidnapping on Tuesday, according to case records from the Oklahoma State Courts Network. The dismissal was first reported by The Oklahoman.
Finch was charged on Jan. 29 after his girlfriend claimed he punched her two times while refusing to let her leave an Oklahoma City motel room on Jan. 2, The Oklahoman reported.
In a separate case involving Finch, Marijuana possession and assault and battery charges filed back in 2017 are still pending.
Finch played in 47 games for the Sooners. He ran for 1,412 yards on 262 carries and recorded six rushing touchdowns. Finch had brief stints in the NFL and CFL, the latter being where he was named the 2017 Special Teams Player of the Year.
