Christian James will begin his professional basketball career in Italy.
The former Oklahoma guard is finalizing a deal to play for Fortitudo Agrigento of the Italian Serie A2 league, Sportando reported Monday.
A four-year career in crimson and cream saw James finish 30th on the all-time OU scoring list and become the seventh guard in OU history to finish his career with over 1,000 points and 500 rebounds. In his senior season, James averaged career highs of 14.6 points and 6.2 rebounds per game and was named to the All-Big 12 third team.
The report that James will play in in Italy comes just days after former teammate Jamuni McNeace announced he will play professionally in Finland.
