Oklahoma reliever Braidyn Fink was selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 19th round (581st pick) of the 2019 MLB Draft.
Less than a week before the Sooners’ season opener on Feb. 15, news emerged that Fink would miss the entire 2019 season with an arm injury. The left-hander was one of Oklahoma’s top pitchers in 2018, as he sported a 1.71 ERA and had 28 strikeouts in 21 innings as a sophomore.
Fink is the fourth Sooner drafted in 2019, behind No. 2 overall pick Sooner signee Bobby Witt Jr. (Royals), junior starter Nathan Wiles (8th round, Rays) and junior closer Jason Ruffcorn (18th round, Reds).
