Mixon drops ball

Oklahoma running back Joe Mixon appears to drop the ball before crossing the goal line on a kickoff return against Ohio State.

It has been a rough first half for the Sooners against No. 3 Ohio State, but luck was on their side when Joe Mixon returned a kickoff for a touchdown.

Replays showed Mixon dropping the football before crossing the goal line, but the refs missed it on the field and the play was not reviewed.

Here's another angle.

The score cut Ohio State's lead in half to 14-7. FOX Sports rules expert Mike Pereira said OU would've gotten the ball at the one yard line had the play been called correctly.
