The intersection of Flood Avenue and Brooks Street will be closed Tuesday through Friday.
According to a City of Norman press release, the intersection will be closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day beginning Tuesday and lasting until Friday, July 12 due to a water line placement project. Warning and detour signs will be posted to assist traffic.
According to the release, the closure is part of an $850,000 project contracted to Southwest Water Works, LLC by the Norman Utilities Authority. The water line replacement project will replace water lines in the area between Flood Avenue, Brooks Street, Lindsey Street and Chautauqua Avenue, and is expected to be complete by December 2019.
