The Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art will shorten its hours and close its store after OU’s June 13 reduction in force.

According to a press release from the museum, Muse, the museum’s store, will permanently close its doors on Friday, June 28. Due to the closure, the store will hold a 50 percent off liquidation sale from June 18 until June 28.

“It will be a good opportunity to say thank you to our regular customers,” Jin Jo Garton, the museum store manager, said in the release. “I hope a lot of old friends will come in for the sale so I can thank them for supporting the Muse over the years.”

According to the release, the museum will also reduce its hours – starting July 1, the museum will discontinue its late-night Thursday hours. The museum’s new open hours will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
