New Zealand native Kimbra’s latest album was released today. "Vows" is a near-perfect album that showcases the refreshing talent of this female vocalist.
If you have never listened to Kimbra before, today is the day. Her unusual and hypnotic voice is presented flawlessly in this new album.
The soulful first track, “Settle Down,” is an immediate attention-catcher that you will likely find yourself singing along with in the car.
Don’t pay attention to those who compare her to Katy Perry. Kimbra is her own beautiful presence in the music industry. Not to mention she actually has talent — a lot of it.
No two tracks on "Vows” are created equal. She drifts between an unplugged and sultry sound to a more electric feel. I definitely recommend you purchase the album.
If that's not enough motivation for you, Kimbra was announced in this year's Austin City Limits music festival lineup.
