Dozens of campus buildings left without power after line was cut

A power outage left several buildings on campus without power this afternoon. The outage lasted for about 15 minutes.

A contractor accidentally cut a power line at 1:55 p.m., said Brian Ellis, director of Facilities Management. Dozens of buildings lost power, Ellis said.

The buildings without power were sporadic across campus and not necessarily next to one another.

The outage only affected the campus and has now been fixed, Ellis said.
