OU Summer Session will host a free screening of "Chernobyl Diaries" at 6 and 8:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday in Oklahoma Memorial Union's Meacham Auditorium.
"Cabin in the Woods" was scheduled to show; however, due to a scheduling conflict, the movie has since been changed.
"Chernobyl Diaries" is a horror movie about a group of young tourists — Chris (Jesse McCartney), his girlfriend Natalie (Olivia Taylor Dudley), and their mutual friend Amanda (Devin Kelley) — who are vacationing across Europe.
After visiting Chris’ brother Paul (Jonathan Sadowski) in the Ukraine, they decide to hire an extreme tour guide to take them to the abandoned city of Pripyat, the former home of the workers stationed at the Chernobyl nuclear reactor during the meltdown of 1986.
Despite being stopped by the Ukrainian military, the group makes it into the city and is stranded there when the van's wiring is chewed through.
All alone, with nightfall approaching, the tourists must now survive against the unseen forces that have been watching them since they entered the city.
