Undergraduate Research Day applications are due by Monday
Applications to participate in OU’s Undergraduate Research Day are due Monday.
Topics addressed during the annual one-day event include physical sciences, fine arts, business, life sciences, engineering, social sciences, critical studies in ancient or modern literature and the humanities, OU Honors Curriculum director Melanie Wright said.
Generally 100 to 110 students participate in the conference, which will take place March 31 Wright said.
Presentations should last about 15 minutes in which faculty-sponsored chair panels initiate discussions and provide a question and answer period after, Wright said.
Eight cash awards are spread around different disciplines and awarded to the top presentations.
Applications can be found online at http://www.ou.edu/honors/SRPD-application.html and are due Monday. Anyone can apply.
