Ron Paul campaign stopping at state Capitol on Saturday
Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul will visit the state Capitol Saturday, according to a member of his national campaign staff.
He will likely arrive between noon and 1 p.m., staff member Rachel Yes said.
Al Gerhart, cofounder of the Sooner Tea Party, reserved both the North and South Plaza at the Capitol from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. specifically for Paul’s appearance, according to Oklahoma’s Department of Central Services website.
Paul will hold a whistle stop, a brief appearance for public relations and a private meeting with campaign supporters, Yes said.
Paul will head to Michigan immediately after the event for more political rallies, Yes said.
