Baylor handled the Sooners, taking home the 81-54 victory.
The Bears stayed true to form, beating the Sooners by nearly 30 — their average margin of victory this season.
Baylor dominated every facet of the game, outrebounding the Sooners 46-34, dishing out 19 assists to OU's 11, swiping 10 assists to the Sooners' 6 and knocking away a record 13 blocks, ten more than OU.
The 13 blocks is the most ever against the Sooners.
The Bears were lead, as usual, by junior forward Brittney Griner. The Player of the Year candidate scored 27 points, pulled down eight boards and blocked an impressive eight shots. Griner was also a perfect 13-for-13 from the charity stripe.
Griner was joined in double-digit scoring by sophomore guard Odyssey Sims and junior forward Brooklyn Pope who scored 14 and 11 respectively.
The Sooners were led in a losing effort by junior captain Whitney Hand who scored 20 points and pulled down seven rebounds.
Freshman Sharane Campbell scored 13, her sixth straight double digit scoring performance. Campbell also had a career-high four steals.
Junior forward Joanna McFarland returned to the court for the first time since breaking her jaw on Jan. 17. She had just one point in 25 minutes but did pull down nine boards.
The scoring woes of sophomore guard Aaryn Ellenberg continued. She was 1-for-8 from the field with seven points.
The loss was the fifth straight to Baylor for OU, the longest such streak in the 39-game series between the schools.
With this loss, OU falls to 0-14 all time versus No. 1 teams.
The Sooners will try to bounce back against Missouri at 2 p.m. Saturday from Lloyd Noble Center.
