Students of differing political parties and views will share a dinner Tuesday at the inaugural bipartisan dinner.
Oklahoma Reps. Scott Martin, R-Norman, and Emily Virgin, D-Norman, will speak at the event at 7 p.m. in the OU Honors College Nancy Mergler Library, according to a press release.
Table discussions will follow the speeches, OU College Rebublicans President Sam Camp said. The dinner is hosted by the OU Honors College, OU Young Democrats and OU College Republicans, Camp said. Reservations for a seat must be made by Friday by emailing ljtucker@ou.edu.
“The goal of the event is to get together in a nonpartisan way,” Camp said.
Camp said he hopes the groups can rise above partisan politics.
