Four-score game nets Mooney Big 12 offensive player award
Junior forward Caitlin Mooney became the first Sooner to collect a conference nod this season after being named co-Big 12 Soccer Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.
Mooney scored two goals and collected three assists during OU’s pair of wins last weekend.
It was Mooney’s second career conference honor after being named the Big 12 Newcomer of the Week on Oct. 12, 2010.
During Friday’s game against Oral Roberts, Mooney contributed on all four of the Sooners’ goals, including two goals and two assists.
OU came away with the 4-1 win after scoring one goal in the previous three consecutive matches.
