Heated exchanges have been flying between Oklahoma State Representative Aaron Stiles and sociology professor Susan Sharp after an incident occurred on March 3 in the Oklahoma Memorial Union.
On this date, the Center for Social Justice held an event titled “Why Women’s History Matters” which was led by nationally-renowned feminist Shelby Knox. At the same time, a banquet took place for the local anti-abortion group Eden Clinic which was attended by Stiles.
Near the end of these events, an altercation occurred between Representative Stiles and some attendees of the women’s history event. The exact nature of the altercation is disputed. Sharp maintains that Stiles aggressively interrupted a group of people talking after the event and took pictures of them, all the while claiming he had called the police. Representative Stiles maintains the group of students was participating in an organized protest against the event and they had assaulted him.
I was not at the event, and so it is impossible to say for sure what actually happened. Nonetheless, Stiles press release on the matter contains assertions about Susan Sharp and the women’s history event that I decided to look into the incident. It turns out these assertions are not only false, but in some cases border on the absurd.
In his account, Stiles suggests the women’s history event was a sham, and what was really going on in the union was a protest led by Susan Sharp. As evidence for this assertion, he claims there was no Facebook page for the event. This is false: there was a Facebook page for the event that I was easily able to locate.
Beyond this bizarre Facebook page claim, confirmation emails from the union indicate the women’s history event had their room reserved by Jan. 27. So, if we were to believe Stiles conspiracy theory, we would be forced to believe the Center for Social Justice rented a room 1.5 months ahead of time and brought in a nationally-renowned activist who works in New York, all in order to create an alibi for a protest which consisted of (if you accept Stiles’ story) a couple of students saying they love abortion.
This has to be one of the worse executed conspiracies and protests in history!
In addition to this alternative reality, Stiles suggested — with obviously no evidence whatsoever — Susan Sharp runs a Tumblr blog called “Oklahoma Hates Women.” This too is flat out false. Oklahoma Hates Women is run exclusively by Jonathan Contreras, an OU undergraduate student.
So, in Stiles story, we have two provable lies and one conspiracy theory that is laughable at best.
There is one last thing to consider though. Why would Stiles act in the way Sharp claims he did without provocation? I mean, generally speaking, people do not just aggressively initiate altercations for no reason right? A look into Stiles’ past might be able to explain this.
According to Norman Police Department reports, Stiles has had the police called on him at least three times since 2007. One time the police were called after Stiles allegedly banged on the window of a local Sonic and accused the manager of “running around with their head cut off like a fucking chicken.”
On another occasion, neighbors of Stiles called the police after a road-rage incident in which Stiles allegedly flipped them off and then threatened to shoot his neighbor and their 12 year old daughter. The police were called once again in a related event after Stiles allegedly stopped this neighbor in the middle of the street, and tried to pick a fight with him, saying among other things that the victim was a “poor broke motherfucker.” The 12 year old daughter was also reported as present in the report.
Since Stiles now has a fourth accusation of aggressive behavior against him involving the police, it could be that unprovoked attacks are just how Stiles operates. With all the provable lies in his story and a checkered past, Stiles would be wise to back off and avoid further embarrassment.

Why hasn't anyone come out to corroborate Stiles' story, when AT LEAST six people have had the exact same experience as Sharp?
To those of us with a shred of common sense, it's pretty obvious.

--in Stiles (sic) story, we have two provable lies and one conspiracy theory that is laughable at best.
This is a very fair statement.
--it could be that unprovoked attacks are just how Stiles operates.
Also fair. COULD BE.
Remember, these police reports are simply allegations. I know for a fact that one of the attendees of the "protest" was an OU undergrad student who is untrustworthy in the extreme (when it comes to issues of abortion and pro-life people). If there were video, that would be helpful. If there were a police report from the incident, that would be helpful too. Mr Bruenig, you would've done us all a favor if you'd checked that out before writing this article.
Stiles was sitting in the Eden Clinic event during a speech or something, and all of a sudden got up and left the room, which I understand was when this confrontation occurred. Again, I ask as Mr Bruenig almost did here: How did Stiles know that these people were from the CSJ event? That remains unanswered.
Bottom line is that neither side here is trustworthy. We as objective readers, who weren't there, should withhold judgment until more facts come to light.

Hadn't heard about his previous incidents with the police. Wondering where/how the author got ahold of these police reports? Are they online somewhere?

And so the thread continues. This is what I was talking about.
Stiles behavior isn't the issue. The issue is did OU students and/or faculty shout out in public "WE love killing babies." Sharp only implies they were quietly minding their own business. Her friends only suggest that maybe these inflammatory words were not said. If it turns out that Sharp is guilty, I'm going to start carrying a picture of her with me, and on the dashboard of my car. If I ever spot her anywhere, she'll get an opportunity to explain her comments to me.

I'll start this party off on the right foot by posting these links to the actual police reports:
2007-07398: The little man goes postal at a Sonic restaurant; charged with disturbing the peace after manager calls police on him. Of course, his story contradicts that of an entire kitchen staff.
Page 1: http://db.tt/fOXrLzC Page 2: http://db.tt/gUXuZ5A Page 3: http://db.tt/PIHRrFP Page 4: http://db.tt/fZGhLiT
2008-07903: The infamous "I'll shoot the two of you" incident with his neighbor and neighbor's 12-year old daughter; situation instigated by knucklehead exhibiting road-rage in their subdivision. Charged with assault.
When grilled about this investigation at a debate, he states "I have NO idea what you're talking about! What did you say?!?" and acts utterly befuddled. This video is ON HIS OWN SITE.
Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hpKjj... Page 1: http://db.tt/HTzsEkU Page 2: http://db.tt/EmlvH6l Page 3: http://db.tt/d5Q2ZFh Page 4: http://db.tt/91swzmD
2008-14172: Gets out of car in the middle of traffic when he sees victim(s) of 2008-07903 stopped at a red light. Launches into an appalling tirade, threatening them (again, in front of 12 year old). Charged with harassment. It is worth noting that the incident occurred less than a week before the 2008 general election--a point in time when it would behoove someone with political aspirations to not display sociopathy.
Page 1: http://db.tt/gG92oyX Page 2: http://db.tt/8MaIqzm
Note the box that says "Unfounded". Stiles claims this means the charge is baseless. NPD states via telephone: it is not a judgement of the validity of the charge, rather, it is jargon indicating that the report was not made immediately after the incident.
Arsehat later portrays himself as a "hero defending his home" in 2008-07903 with a robocall from his wife at the tail end of 2010 campaign. Remember, he publicly and emphatically denies that this "opportunity" for him to be such a badass ever took place (nor did any other "investigation").
He ducked out on going to the Middle East by filing for CO status, 'cos his "christian faith" conflicted with the notion of taking another's life. I guess that "faith" looks the other way on treating other people like scat.
He didn't get CO status, but it didn't matter, it all panned out the same. He got to stay here and continue his studies at OU without interruption (ironically, OU is a school he apparently otherwise despises).
When people do defend him , they do so based on ideology only; has anyone ever said he's a great guy?
I think he is mentally ill and needs professional help.

"Stiles behavior isn't the issue"
Stiles has a history of unruly behavior in public. why is stiles's behavior not the issue?
"The issue is did OU students and/or faculty shout out in public "WE love killing babies." "
There's nothing wrong with freedom of speech. We may disagree with the speech but it's okay to speak as long we don't yell "fire" in a crowded theater........ We just had a US Supreme Court ruling that okayed the Westboro Baptist Church's disruption of funerals.
You really believe some folks actually said "we love killing babies" or words to that effect?
Longshoesam 1 year, 2 months ago
"...Stiles behavior isn't the issue..."
Of course it's not...for you.
If any tidbit of your story were true, why not just observe the situation, call the police and let them deal with it?
"...The issue is did OU students and/or faculty shout out in public "WE love killing babies." Sharp only implies they were quietly minding their own business. Her friends only suggest that maybe these inflammatory words were not said..."
Okay, then it's your job to cough up the goods, innit? These people don't have to prove that they didn't do something; you have to prove they DID.
"...If it turns out that Sharp is guilty, I'm going to start carrying a picture of her with me, and on the dashboard of my car..."
Oh hell. I'll betcha a frosty, cold Budweiser you're already doing that now.
"...If I ever spot her anywhere, she'll get an opportunity to explain her comments to me..."
Ahhh....vintage Stiles! You have so much money you'll just hire someone to kick their posterior.
..and one last thing: even if that phrase WAS uttered at any point, don't you think it would be done so OUT OF IRONY, JUST TO GET YOUR GOAT!?!?
Get real. You're an elected official. Have some freakin' decorum, wacko.
Longshoesam 1 year, 2 months ago
"...How did Stiles know that these people were from the CSJ event?..."
I think you answered your own question earlier: that's how he operates. He's acts like a stalker.
He bullies and bullsh!ts, but when it comes time to show the goods, he doesn't have them. When people have the goods on him, they are always "lies" and then he'll bring up a red herring just as he's doing here: Look!! Shiny object!! Jingle-jingle jingle!!!
Ever notice that people are always calling the cops on him, rather than the other way around?
I think the lack of anyone backing up Stiles' story speaks volumes.
I take it that, ideologically, you would probably prefer that Stiles (even though he's apparently not your cup o' noodles) were telling the truth; I commend you for trying to remain rational throughout this debate.

Aaron Stiles is not great by any stretch of the immagination. He attempted to evict my sister during a severe illness from the apartments above the RedRoom on main after assuming ownership. This guy is bad news and I can not wait to see the voters' response to his crazy behavior in a year and a half. I have no doubt that any of this behavior took place. Just imagine what hasn't been reported....

Longshoesam,
Thanks, I do try. :-)
Yes, I am an abolitionist, but I believe in truth, not protecting people at any cost. I know this is typical of Stiles; I just want more evidence that it happened the way the pro-aborts say it happened. I need more than CJ Mays' word, because Mays is a liar.

FINALLY, the true Stiles is revealed. Trust me---there's A LOT that hasn't been reported about this man. I've dealt with his irresponsibility directly and suffered the consequences---he is NOT a trustworthy individual, and the fact that he got elected sickens me.

Read the comments section of the link I am posting. Mustafa AKA Stiles, uses a pseudonym to defend himself here as well. Can you find him?
Here is a hint, he uses his pseudonym to call someone "fat", and then someone tells a story about seeing Stiles go off on a woman, and calling her "fat", at the court house. Coincidence? I think not. Such childish insults for a grown man.
http://oklahoma.watchdog.org/1355/distri...
There is also a whole facebook page devoted to the all of the bad experiences people have had with The Red Room, which is owned by Aaron Stiles. They have a lot of links to stories concerning his misbehavior.
Check it out.
http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/grou...
I have heard LOTS of stories from LOTS people who have had altercations with this guy. There are SOOOOOOOOOOOO many people with stories about him. Either EVERYONE ELSE has the problem, or Aaron is the problem.
Which seems more likely? Is the city of Norman in some kind of conspiracy against him, or he is a mentally unstable sociopath who needs serious help before he hurts someone?

"Bottom line is that neither side here is trustworthy. We as objective readers, who weren't there, should withhold judgment until more facts come to light." -Rhology-
Really? Neither side is trustworthy? What has the other side done to show that they are untrustworthy? We know Aaron is questionable. He has had multiple police reports filed against him, there is a video of him blatantly lying about it, and he has a looooooong, varied history of this type of behavior. On the other thread Mustafa (AKA Stiles) even lied about being the one to call the police!
It's not that big of a town. People talk. There are tons of stories, and even a facebook page devoted to this guy. What has the other side done, except stick to the same, consistent story? If they really were yelling wouldn't AT LEAST one person from the Eden Clinic have come forward by now? NOBODY HAS!
I'm really not trying to be argumentative, but I am curious Rhology, what the other side has done that makes you think that they are not trustworthy in this matter?
mustafa 1 year, 2 months ago
why is stiles's behavior not the issue?"
Because it is not actionable by the University.
If he acted irrational and accosted people in the Union for no apparent reason, the best the University can do is ban him from campus, but his past behavior off campus is not an issue. It isn’t relevant.
“You really believe some folks actually said "we love killing babies" or words to that effect?”
That is the accusation that has been made, and yes I find it very credible since such behavior is historically typical of the Left. And, lets not forget, Women’s Studies and “Social Justice” are just euphuisms for far Left-wing activism.
“There's nothing wrong with freedom of speech.... US Supreme Court .. okayed the Westboro Baptist ...”
THANK YOU! for making my point. (If they did as accused.) There is no difference between Sharp & co. and the Phelps.
The Phelps deserved to be condemned and held in contempt and so does anyone else who exhibits similar behavior. Shouting “We love Killing babies,” at a group, known to be sensitive on that point, is exactly the behavior exhibited by the Phelps. It is the mark of the emotionally maladjusted and socially dysfunctional. It has no place at OU , a university that has expelled students for- dancing in a window, wearing a tee-shirt that mocked communism, the malicious use of the n-word, and urinating on a Tee Pee.
missworld 1 year, 2 months ago
Isn't it perfect that the link to this is right above the story about Charlie Sheen?
mustafa 1 year, 2 months ago
Usually, to help liberals fully understand the point I wish to make, I employ the use of a clown hand-puppet named Lysander. I can’t do that here, so I’ll try to make it as plain as possible.
I’m not interested in the political future of Rep. Stiles. I only care that the tax-payer supported University of Oklahoma enforces evenly and without bias its code of conduct for staff and students.
This university will not tolerate a student maliciously drawing a picture of Mohammad or anything else Islamics find offensive. The defense that it was done out of a sense of irony, or “to stimulate dialog” would not be acceptable. No such defense would have saved the kid who wore the tee-shirt saying “Kill a Commie for Christ,” the students who used the n-word at trespassing Blacks, the guys who urinated on the tee-pee set up on the South Oval, or the girl who go-go danced in a dorm window.
It is a question of what is the truth. If the police arrest you for a murder that you did not commit nor had any knowledge there is no reason to fear because you know the truth, and therefore you can be confident that no evidence exists to link you to the crime. How could there be? It isn’t the truth. But if the truth is that you did do it, then there could be no end to the flow evidence proving it, because, after all, it is the truth.
If the truth is, that said shouts were made, then there is evidence. Count on it. Participants at the disrupted meeting can sign affidavits that they were ear-witness to the shouts. Don’t be fooled by the fact that Stiles and company haven’t shown their cards. Who doubts that he wouldn’t have taken immediate steps to solidify his case? Isn't that what he was doing with his cell phone camera?I think your friend is in a very bad spot.
If Sharp & co are guilty where do they get off thinking they would get away with it? I would think that if they are going to engage in such behavior that they would be proud to have that behavior recorded for the public to see, especially since there would be no way of preventing it.
Sharp is a 60 year grown woman with a PHD, how could she possibly do something so childish and yet hope to escape condemnation. Life isn’t that easy. Duh.

"..and one last thing: even if that phrase WAS uttered at any point, don't you think it would be done so OUT OF IRONY, JUST TO GET YOUR GOAT!?!? "
That makes no difference, and that is the cheap excuse of highly unethical cowards.
Go to the editors of the Daily and ask to see the history of my posts on this forum. I have on several occasions made the point that , “Liberalism Can Get You Killed.”
If an individual or group as is dangerous you liberals claim to believe about fundamentalist Christians/ pro-lifers, then pushing their hot-button is asking for violence, ISN”T IT?
Liberalism is a lot of fun as long as it doesn’t get you killed, or fired, or expelled.
Didn’t that scum at Kent State shout “Kill, Kill, Kill,’ “ out of a sense of irony? Their liberalism got them killed. Do you really want to die for liberalism, something most students grow out of after they leave college?
The only reason more isn’t being made of the events of March 3 is because no one got shot, or had her face opened–up with a box knife. Sharp & co. either felt perfectly safe, or they were willing to incite violence upon themselves. Which is it? There is no 3rd possibility.
Just as the Phelps is asking for a bullet so was Susan Sharp and her students on March 3.
That is serious business.
There needs to be a full inquiry and, if the truth is established, the guilty parties should be punished. Who doesn’t agree?

darcieanne,
My distrust of the pro-abort side is born out of repeated and longstanding interactions with them, both locally and on the Internet as a blogger. For some pro-aborts to say or shout "We love killing babies" would not surprise me in the slightest. CJ Mays told me that he had a video of the incident. Guess what? No video has surfaced. The smart money's on CJ Mays being a liar.
The pro-aborts have resorted to all sorts of unethical and inconsistent means to advance their agenda. They tell lies about the Eden Clinic, use ridiculously ignorant arguments like "Who'll adopt all the babies you force us not to murder?", and use violence in the form of close proximity noise pollution and intimidation to suppress the free expression and exchange of ideas in public areas, such as last year's Justice For All event.
Just look at the way that they're ready to rip Stiles' throat out on the basis of allegations. No convictions in court. Yes, Stiles is clearly a liar. Yes, Stiles is clearly a loose cannon. However, how does that confirm that he did THIS the way they say? They have ulterior motives too - he's a pro-life politician and thus has some power. They are enamored with dismembering babies in the womb and whoever stands in their way they want to remove from power and even sometimes disenfranchise. I could go on but I'll spare you.

More proof that Glasgow is an assh0le deluxe. Taken from the commnents on the okwatchdog link:
TowTheLine 2:52 pm on October 29th, 2010
In case you’d like further evidence of Mr. Shrewsbury’s observations, I’ve included some recent exchanges I’ve had with Mr. Stiles:
First, I sent Mr. Stiles a private Facebook message on Sept. 25:
Mr. Stiles, this morning I received literature from “Friends of Aaron Stiles” smattering the name of Wallace Collins. I couldn’t give a crap about your politics or your views of Mr. Collins, but I strongly disapprove of your muckraking and, especially, your littering of Norman homes. If you have something to say, get on a soap box, put it on your website, post a commercial. But stop wasting paper and putting trash on people’s doorsteps. It’s cheap and it’s wasteful, and I’m afraid it’s reflective of your character. Is that the message you want to send to potential voters?
Sincerely,
His response on Sept. 26:
“Oh, well”
Then I was blocked from visiting his profile.
Next, after receiving two copies of Aaron Stiles advertising in my mailbox, I sent an email to win@aaronstiles.com, which was listed on said mail.
Here is the email I sent:

Your name comes from the state voter registration. I guess you’ll have to contact them and tell them to remove you as a registered voter.
Aaron Stiles, Esq. The Stiles Legal Group 116 W. Main Street Norman, Oklahoma 73069 (405) 310-3465
Let it be known that I am a registered Democrat, so I am not on a Republican-specific list.* I guess Mr. Stiles prefers non-answers or attempts at snarky humor instead of thoughtful or helpful responses.
I can only assume that this is a preview of what he would be like in office.
*Note: Although I tend to vote Democrat, I would consider Republican candidates if I felt they had the character necessary to support the public. I am not a Wallace Collins fan, I don’t even have his or any other sign in my yard. But when I received this kind of feedback from Stiles TWICE, I was immediately turned off to him. PLEASE check out your candidates in any party before voting next week. These are the people who are supposed to represent you.

First of all "Mustafa" I mean aaron, I was at the event and I didn’t hear a single person utter anything controversial. Nothing about "killing babies", "loving abortion","being pro abortion" or anything of the kind. You already know that though don't you?
On that note, I have never heard of anyone being "PRO abortion" that is absurd.
I think I speak for everyone when I say we would love for the surveillance tapes to be released. I only wish they had sound so that everyone could see and hear what really happened. I am confident. Are you??? Where are the witnesses that corroborate your story? There aren't any are there?
The funny thing is, I kind of feel sorry for you. You misjudged a small group of people and acted like a complete fool. I think Instead of being embarrassed like you should, you have actually persuaded yourself to believe these delusions you have made up about what really happened. It is getting harder and harder to believe isn’t it?
"Liberalism can get you killed" Are you crazy? Liberalism can get you killed as easily as being conservative, religious, black, white, Jewish, Muslim, or simply being different from someone else. It seems to me that some of the comments I have read in stiles’ police reports could get you killed too. Being a loose cannon with a temper problem is a recipe for disaster.
To say that Susan and her group were asking for a bullet is outrageous, and an extremely foolish thing to say. That is like saying someone deserved, or asked to get raped for dressing provocatively. That is just as ridiculous and you should be ashamed for saying it.
"highly unethical cowards" Hmm, I find that interesting coming from someone who hides behind "Mustafa". I am glad you are not concerned with your political future because I have a feeling it will be over next election.

As a liberal, queer, female OU student who wasn't at this event but who supports the WGSSA and Sharp, I just want to say here that mustafa terrifies me. And from time to time, I am overcome with the fear that he could be any person I interact with daily on campus, and he really means the things he says about outspoken women like Sharp deserving acts of violence for simple things like being who they are and using campus resources with the assumption they will be safe.

Mustafa terrifies me as well, and I have an inbox full of delightfully threatening and misogynistic PMs he has sent me via the Daily for whoever handles that kind of thing. The fact that he can unironically threaten a professor, threaten violence, wish rape upon women (what the eff?,) and all kinds of other disgusting behavior and still face repercussions bothers me to the point where I literally feel unsafe on campus.
And no, "mustafa" is not Aaron Stiles. According to a former editor of the Daily (who graduated a year or so ago,) he's just a woman-hating, conservative Muslim who works for - or used to work for - the Daily.

What exactly would she sue over? It doesn't seem that anything obviously illegal occurred here. The issue seems to be that Aaron Stiles is a giant jackass, which is of course completely legal. He seems like the kind of guy who'd take a swing at you and then sue after you knock his teeth out.

To all commenters ticked off by mustafa:
mustafa is a mostly harmless, apparently unemployed troll with too much time on his hands who has been posting on the Daily's site for a couple of years now. Rest assured that he is as passive-aggressive as they come. The most he will ever do is call out the authors of letters to the Daily, and then piss and moan about liberals, dirty Islamics, feminists, and the government conspiracy to control minds with microwave ovens.
If you don't want to be on the receiving end of his flaccid and cut-n-paste insults, ignore him. And keep this in mind: mustafa is a loser with nothing better to do than accumulate close to 500 posts on a college newspaper's website. Nobody will remember anything he says in 2 weeks, much less 2 years or 2 decades. Nothing he writes will have any real-world consequences. Moreover, he is lazy, and a coward. The whole ultraconservative persona is a scam designed to elicit outraged responses from the easily offended.
My advice to you is the same I gave to a friend back in my OU days who was scared by bloggers praising "internment camps for Islamics", "exterminate all Muslims", etc. Thirty or forty years from now, when these same bloggers and commenters are in nursing homes or on their deathbeds, with kids who hate them and no family to speak of except those who want to squeeze cash from their corpses, they will remember all the free time that they had to do something positive for society. And instead, they chose to piss away their energy on Internet comments, and so they'll die alone and forgotten It's happened throughout history and will keep on happening.
In conclusion, get off your butts and quit wasting your time on mustafa. You have better things to do with your lives, and I say this as an OU alumnus who respects his alma mater.

Of course, even more depressing is the fact that some voters are so duped by their tripe and lies that they will elect them to public office.
This guy is obviously a cancer on the state's political arena and needs to be removed just like Sally Kern and a couple of others.
I hope that everyone who has participated in this discussion exhibits a lifetime interest in their community's politics so that complacency doesn't lead to these idiots holding future political positions.

""..and one last thing: even if that phrase WAS uttered at any point, don't you think it would be done so OUT OF IRONY, JUST TO GET YOUR GOAT!?!?

I was going to say thanks for re-posting my comments but I just looked around and their gone again. I don't understand why. The Daily will remove anything if someone claims to get hair-lipped over it. I stand by my comments.
Man, look at all the angst.
"And no, "mustafa" is not Aaron Stiles. According to a former editor of the Daily (who graduated a year or so ago,) he's just a woman-hating, conservative Muslim who works for - or used to work for - the Daily."
I did? Hey, where my check?
"And you've just proven you're Aaron Glasgow."
What? I thought I was Stiles? You guys were so sure of it I was beginning to believe it myself.
"Oh, and btw Mustafa, those of us who actually served in the military and fought for our country take offense at you passing yourself off as a decorated, honorable veteran. We know different you loser."
Hey Dad.... What the F are you talking about?
Why don't you all get together and form a vigilance committee. You could call it Citizens Against mustafa.
You could stand on a street corners and pass out handbills about how terrible I am. If you like I can work up a draft of the bill.

“Moreover, he is lazy, and a coward. The whole ultraconservative persona is a scam designed to elicit outraged responses from the easily offended.”
So now I’m a phony who isn’t even ideologically driven. As far just wanting to “to elicit outraged responses” look what others have said:
“and one last thing: even if that phrase WAS uttered at any point, don't you think it would be done so OUT OF IRONY, JUST TO GET YOUR GOAT!?!?”- Longshoeam (defensible according to missworld)
‘And dude, get a clue. Shouting out "blah..blah..kill…babies…blah blah…" is spoken ironically and is only intended for shock value.’- JoeTex
According to liberals any offensive insulting behavior is rendered harmless if it is claimed to be done out of irony, as if it is akin to holding up a roll of Mentos.
Liberals here do have a problem with me, but it isn’t because they are offended or scared. They’re mad at me because when it comes to being snide, irreverent, and goat-getting, I’m just a hella-of-a-lot better at it than they are. This infuriates them because, as liberals, the think they excrete gold bars and pee perfume. They surround themselves with a culture where the liberal is always the most clever and articulate, always wins, and the conservatives are always humiliated. They can’t handle running in to reality in the form of someone like me.

Re This idea of getting me banned. All it takes to post here is to have an email address. I have 14 of them. If the Daily were to block mustafa, I’d just come back as someone else.
It is time to grow up now. Get over your impulse to remove your problems by just tattling to the teacher.

Mustafa is right! Why don’t you people get real. Can’t you see he is Gandhi-esk. He only wants to make a better world for us all.
mustafa 1 year, 2 months ago
Thanks punk, but I don’t need your help.
Osborne Black? What kind of name do you call that fella? Is that your feeble attempt at being funny?
Osborne_Black 1 year, 2 months ago
Well I can now see that I was totally wrong about you mustafa. Your comment about my name (fyi- it is pronounced Os-burn) reveals not only your inner-jerk but your inner-racist.
Where do I sign-up for CAm?

“… mustafa terrifies me. And from time to time, I am overcome with the fear that he could be any person I interact with daily on campus,”
Ah, the phony-fear card to go with your phony- outrage card. I’ m sure your arm must be perpetually sore from play it.
Why don’t you do what Braceyourself did? Go stomping into Boren's office, demand that he drop everything and do something about mustafa, “Immediately, Immediately, Immediately.”
Or you could just join CAm (Citizens Against mustafa)
Moreover, he is lazy, and a coward. The whole ultraconservative persona is a scam designed to elicit outraged responses from the easily offended.
SmprFi-
“As far as not suing--how do you know she's not?”
Well, correct me if Im wrong, but when a suit is filed it is public record. Considering the publicity Sharp and Co. are working hard to generate, any such filing would be “news.”

that's fine then. Mustafa is just a newly post-teen miscreant. If that's the case then clamor to your hearts content Mustafa. I couldn't care less.
My dog also likes to sit in the backyard and bark. Maybe I should have named him "Mustafa".

Mustafa, your very existence humiliates conservatives.

"If that's the case then clamor to your hearts content Mustafa."
Thanks Dad, that's white of ya.
mustafa 1 year, 2 months ago
Look what JoeTex says about the proper way to have handled the alleged hate-speech.
“And dude, get a clue. Shouting out "blah..blah..kill…babies…blah blah…" is spoken ironically and is only intended for shock value. Sure, it's an ugly thing to say. You don't like it. I don't like it either; it's not my style. But you know, give 'em a "screw you" and move on with life.”
So in the face of such shocking and ugly behavior by women, a man should just shrug it off and get on with his life. But a poor frail woman who is inconvenienced by behavior she doesn’t even understand is justified in going totally ballistic?
And you wonder why so many men have a low opinion of women.

Once again I am reminded of why no one takes the Oklahoma Daily seriously: attack articles and deadbeat commenters are the rule. Who the hell spends all their time commenting on these articles anyway? Do you not have jobs (I'm looking at you, mustafa)? Seriously, if you have any pretensions of being a towering intellectual giant, please be advised that you're posting comments on the OU student body newspaper, known for subpar reporting and unimpressive scoops. If this is your idea of a hobby, I wish you luck in integrating into society. Since I have to subsidize your welfare checks, medical checkups by E.R. proxy, and eventual cremation with my tax dollars anyway, I could care less what your opinions were. I know that you (not just mustafa now, i'm looking at all the 101st Keyboard Division here) are spineless and probably don't get enough sunlight. Even then, there is no excuse for not articulating positions in the appropriate forum (not online) when you pretend to have principled opinions.
I see no difference between mustafa's idiotic posts and the halfassed attempts to take him down on this website. Grow up.
OUDad 1 year, 2 months ago
Thank goodness we have you to set us straight deftones.
Subpar reporting and unimpressive scoops? Why you could be talking about every paper in Oklahoma. In fact, you probably are.
I still find your irony a bit overwhelming. Aren't you wasting your time also?
Quit trying to chill speech, go give yourself another colonic, and find another neo-con you can vote for against the state's better interest. I am sure Sally, Stiles, Coburn, and Inhofe would love your sardonic wit.

If you weak women don't like my mouth then don't read my posts. You have to make a conscious decision to come here in order to get offended.
I'll say it again, and this time Editors please don't protect the weaklings from my words.
If you women can't stand the heat get back to your kitchens because that is where chattel like you belong. How dare you presume to ask for parity with man like me.
In Islam you are no better that domesticated animals. Blacks, you are no better than barnyard animals.
The Muslin Brotherhood funds The Muslim Student Association. A couple of years ago a member of the OU Muslim Student Association tried to murder fellow students and guests at an OU football game. If you want to worry about the people walking among us I suggest you not forget about Muslims.
Otherwise quit boring me with your phony fears.

It's a shame that Stiles has such a hot head and bullying disposition. I do not in any way think that the pro-life community should be associated with him. I cannot speak to the truth of what occurred at this event or any of the other Stiles blow-ups, but, anyone who is accused of this many instances of sociopathy ought not to be associated with protecting unwanted unborn human beings from legal extermination.
Sure he supports the pro-life political position and runs on a pro-life political platform, but he certainly does not act in a pro-life manner. He very well could believe that abortion is an injustice which should be abolished, but I am afraid that he believes much more in the progress of his own political power.
Now, I think it should be said that the activistic pro-choice group at OU does at times act like a bunch of insane wackos themselves. There isn't a doubt in my mind that a group of pro-choice students accompanied by a pro-choice professor would show up at a pro-life event yelling things like, "WE love killing babies." The purpose of this said event was to raise money for a crisis pregnancy center that encourages pregnant women not to abort their babies and provide them with the medical care they need to have their babies, and either raise or find adoptive parents to raise them.

"To say that Susan and her group were asking for a bullet is outrageous, and an extremely foolish thing to say. That is like saying someone deserved, or asked to get raped for dressing provocatively."
No it isn't, it is like saying that the Phelps are asking for a bullet when they spit on a dead soldier's grave in front of his grieving family. That is much worse.
How many times do I have to ask this question
Who amongst you liberals think yelling "We love killing babies," in front of a bunch of pro-life Neanderthals (whom you claim are dangerously unstable haters) is Not a dangerously provocatively act? You do, don't you?

It is lame that they are filtering comments before they post them now. I guess certain bad actors have necessitated it.
mustafa 1 year, 2 months ago
"...deadbeat commenters are the rule. Who the hell spends all their time commenting on these articles anyway? Do you not have jobs (I'm looking at you, mustafa)? ... Since I have to subsidize your welfare checks.."
What if I am a dead beat low life, system gamer. Isn't that the kind people you liberals are so concerned about? Aren't they the people that the rest of us need to give up our affluence and heap into socialism in order to help?
You have foisted upon us this affirmation-action President, socialist America hater because you are supposedly sooo concerned for "the losers of life's lottery." But it a lie, another liberal lie as your post proves. Liberals are elitist snobs, as you are sir. You hate the lower class, look how you regard them in your own words.
We no longer have time or the endurance to put up with liberals weak BS. You have brought our country to the edge of the abyss as you have so longed to do. We are broke and very, very hard times are rapidly approaching. Thank to you people. You are to blame.
Students in college now are wasting their time because there is no future for them, no American dream for them, because liberals like you have worked for 60 years to destroy their chance for happiness.
Everywhere we look the liberal machine is being dismantled. Reform is eventually coming to academia where Liberal have embedded themselves. The end of tenure, the end of left wing courses like Women's Studies and Social Justice will be cut out.
Take your weak phony liberal smugness, outrage and concern and rotate on them. The minds of students at this university are fair game. They are old enough to vote, to sit on juries, to have families. Liberals resent not having wide open access to indoctrinate them. Tough!
Quit boring me with your feeble attempts to compete with me.

Sharp I advised you to let this thread die off. Instead in the following three days of publication we had three (3) further articles stirring this pot in your interest. While fretting about the discourse on this forum, you and your soldiers keep providing the space for it to continue. I’ll wager another pro-Sharp/ anti-Stiles article shows up by Monday.
It because as a “Women’s Studies” professor that you de facto are a hyper sensitive, overemotional, demigod who has no integrity or ethics, the epitome of Alinsky-ism. All over this campus, when the subject of Women’s Studies comes up, people roll their eyes and guffaw, because it is universally understood that the department is made of far-left goof-ball whose only friends are other far-Left goof-balls.
I have no doubt you would like to see me paralyzed from the neck down. You want to know my identity so you can dig into my past look for any dirt, or bring a frivilous law suit against me for daring to stand up to your bullying. You’re like an Islamo-fascist.
I responded to your post on this forum I expect a response.

@beddins
"Liberalism can get you killed" Are you crazy? Liberalism can get you killed as easily as being conservative, religious, black, white, Jewish, Muslim,…”
I’m not just talking about Chaney, Goodman, and Schwerner in 1963, or the 4 Kent State students in 1970, but to the fact that thousand of nameless faceless people have have brought harm upon themselves because they were inspired by liberalism to engage in dangerously provocative behavior.
I am reminded of the man who wanting to stop the delivery of warheads to a military base, so he sat down with his legs across the railroad tracks so the train would be forced to stop. Since dargus types demand names, dates, etc. I did a Googled search looking for this incident. Whadda know that very scenario has been duplicated several times in several places. In each case the protestors legs were cut off and the victim died on the way to the hospital. I don’t know what you call that, but I call it “letting liberalism get you killed.”
Then there was a young man during the late ’80 early ’90 who went down to Central America where there was a war zone in which The US was providing arms and support to one of the belligerents. Against the warnings of the US State Department , he entered into the active war zone. Mean while he had two friends back in DC filing suits in federal court to bring an injunction against the US government to stop the aid to the anti-communist forces on the grounds that it was directly endangering his life. He then did his best to get as close as he could to actual combat action. For a couple weeks the media followed his “gallant effort,” yada, yada.
If successful he would be a liberal hero par excellence. Unfortunately a creeping mortar barrage eventually caught him. His idealistic liberalism got him killed. We then had to witness his weepy parents blubber into the microphones about how heartless the US go. is yada, yada. They got zero sympathy from the general public. Who even remembers this kid now? Come on liberals help me out who was this guy. I remember when this happened don’t you?
mustafa 1 year, 2 months ago
@beddins cont.
But my favorite is the story of Norman David Mayer a homeless man who lived in Jefferson Park across from the White House, where he operated a running protest for nuclear disarmament. One day he got this really good idea. He got an old panel van, a full-face motorcycle helmet and an AK-47 facsimile. On Sept 8 1983 he drove the van right up to the Washington Monument, (something that would no longer be possible after his act).
Claiming to have a partner inside the van sitting atop 1000 pounds of TNT, he demanded media access to launch into his protest diatribe. After a ten hour standoff with police, he got in the van and began to drive off The Mall. As soon as he was a safe distance from the monument the police made Swiss cheese out the van, killing him. As it turned out no bomb, no partner, just bluff.
The Left (that so needs martyrs) tried to imortalizel this jerk but no one cared. For a while there was even a band named after him.
I don’t know what you call that but I call it “Letting your liberalism get you killed.”
Here at OU we had at least two students who let their liberalism get them killed. One was a member of the Pride who was a Social Work major. She allow her liberalism to cloud her better judgment. She volunteered to manage alone an inner-city recreation center in OKC. They eventually found her body in a closet. Her liberalism got her killed.
Then there was the OU ballerina who couldn’t make it from her car to the door of her apartment on Brooks without disappearing into thin air. If she had carried a gun she might be alive today, but gun ownership offended her liberal sensibilities. They found her body out by the lake. Her parents must be so proud.
Now you say conservatism can equally get one killed? Right I’ll listen quietly as you tick-off all the examples you have to support that,…..starting………………………………………………………………now.

Oklahoma had the opportunity to do the right thing for her Veterans but due to the smug, self serving interests of a few legislators and their divorce attorney cronies that make a lucrative payday off the backs of Oklahoma's veterans .....you know who you are as does the voting public...... Oklahoma failed in it's obligation to support the men and women who fight for our freedoms. To the lawmakers who support veterans with SB 528 and SB 917....Kudos...Veterans will remember.
