NORMAN — Oklahoma's leading scorer this past basketball season has signed a pro deal with a team in Macedonia.

OU athletic officials say Cade Davis signed a two-year deal this week to play for MZT Skopje, located in Macedonia's capital city. Macedonia is located in southeast Europe and is one of the successor nations to the former Yugoslavia.

Davis, from Elk City, averaged 14.2 points and 5.0 rebounds per game last season for the Sooners. He finished his career with 1,015 points, ranking him 35th in school history.

Davis said the chance to play basketball professionally "is pretty much a dream come true" and that he's anxious to experience the culture of the region to which he's headed.

He said he will report to training camp Aug. 15.
