The Muslim Student Association will hold its eighth-annual Think Fast Challenge to raise awareness of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan and collect money for charity at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Oklahoma Memorial Union Ballroom.
Those who attend the event are challenged to abstain from food, drink and smoking on the day of Think Fast. They will be able to donate the money they would have spent on these items to the Oklahoma Food Bank.
“The campus can experience something that a Muslim student struggles with through the month of Ramadan, with having a schedule and going from class to class without eating or drinking,” said Omar Alamoudi, association Brothers Chair and geophysics junior.
Dinner will be provided at the event. Think Fast T-shirts are available for $10 on the South Oval until Wednesday.
