Autopsy reveals Gilbert intoxicated during fatal car accident

OKLAHOMA CITY — The Medical Examiners office has released the autopsy results of OU senior Julia Gilbert.

Gilbert died when her car ran off the road and overturned in northwestern Oklahoma county in January.

According to the autopsy, Gilbert died of multiple blunt force trauma to her body and acute alcohol intoxication.

Gilbert's ethyl alcohol concentration in her liver was 0.14 percent while the concentration in her brain was 0.24 percent, the report stated.
