OU — Bobby Shore (10-4)
The Sooner ace was selected as the Most Outstanding Player of the Norman Regional and was named to the All-tournament team after pitching an one-hitter in 7 1/3 innings against North Carolina on June 6.
Shore’s performance on the mound during the Charlottesville Super Regional was equally impressive, as the Oceanside, Calif., native pitched eight shut-out innings against the nation’s then-No. 5 seed Virginia.
For the 2010 postseason, Shore is 2-0 with a 0.59 ERA.
Shore has a 3.86 ERA through 91 innings pitched and has allowed 88 hits, while walking 31 and striking out 77 batters on the season.
Clemson — Scott Weismann (8-2)
The sophomore righty is the second go-to pitcher for the Tigers, right behind junior Casey Harman, who dominated the nation's No. 1 seed Arizona State in Clemson's previous outing.
Weismann’s last outing was against Alabama in the second game of the Clemson Super Regional. Weismann recorded the win while allowing four runs (three earned) in six innings pitched.
The sophomore has accumulated a 5.09 ERA in 92 innings pitched, allowing 52 earned runs and 99 hits on the season. Weismann has also walked 30 batters while throwing for 69 strikeouts in 17 appearances.
The Sooners and the Tigers will face off in a winner's bracket matchup tonight at 8 at Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, Neb. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2 and online at ESPN3.com.
