A business services specialist will host a workshop to help people get grant money for their projects at 6 p.m. June 16 at the Norman Public Library.
The workshop should benefit students seeking scholarships, artists seeking funding for projects and individuals studying abroad, said Jayme Shelton, workshop presenter.
“The goal of this workshop is to teach individuals a way of searching for potential grant makers and being able to to have an organized tool box for resources,” Shelton said.
Shelton said the most important part of receiving grant money is to have an organized request.
“The key to grant writing, as with business planning, is to be organized and focused,” Shelton said.
At the workshop, attendees will learn the basics of applying to foundations and then get a chance to explore the libraries database for grants.
