Edmond Police are looking for an OU student that has been missing since Friday.

According to a Facebook group set up to help search for the student, Julia Gilbert, OU senior, has not been seen or heard from since 3:30 a.m. on Jan. 8.

Erica Pletan, OU senior, posted on the Facebook group that a missing person's report has been filed, and Gilbert's car has not been found.

Gilbert was last seen driving a silver 2002 Volkswagen Jetta with the license plate 607 BJK. A Kappa Alpha Theta sorority sticker is on the back windshield as well, Pletan also posted on the group's wall.

Pletan's post also said Gilbert, 21, was last seen leaving a friend's home in the 600 block of Belle Air at 3:30 a.m. and driving to her parents' home in the 6700 block of Cypress Hollow.

Glenda Chu, Edmond Police spokeswoman, said the Edmond Police Department is concerned for Gilbert's safety because of the extremely cold temperatures in the area.
