I realize that the broken leg is present. The artist, however, used a wheelchair. From my experience, that makes me very irate. I'm almost sick to think about it from his experience, not to mention somewhat of my own.
I appreciate your condolences. It has been, of course, a little over four years since he passed away.
This drawing more or less caused my exhausted self to reach critical mass for one week. As I have been fighting exhaustion--which isn't good--I responded accordingly. I realize that diverse opinions are welcome; however, the presentation and interpretation can rub people the wrong way, so to speak.

The fact that you took the opinions of a couple mean internet people such as myself and extrapolated them to the entire 40,000-person student body of OU shows true character. See a therapist if you want somebody to listen to your self-centered whining. This is not the place for it.
The people who have mocked or disregarded my indignation have caused me to COMPLETELY lose faith in my fellow students. I wouldn't trust a single student on this campus even if it saved my life.
And CONGRATS TO YOU, calling ME a moron. I am smarter than you people give me credit for, and I HAVE MORE DIGNITY than you even care to give me. I've had my doubts about the student body, and every one of those doubts has been proven correct.
Don't expect me to feel sorry for you if you fall on hard times. Don't expect me to congratulate you when times turn positively.
As a grandchild of a deceased paraplegic, I have to say that I'm absolutely furious over this cartoon. Since February 10, your "newspaper" has consistently trashed women, and now you've crossed the line AGAIN with your degradation of people with disabilities. I hope you understand, Cox, you fool, that putting people down is NO WAY AT ALL to write for a college newspaper. God damn it, what other s*** are you going to pull?
You don't listen to ALL of the student body. Your paper is run by the thuggish Gaylord family. GOD DAMN, you people are stupid. Putting someone down who has ANY kind of disability is goddamn idiotic. Use your head, goddammit! I don't have ANY desire to get to know you at all. Congratulations, moron.
Come to think of it, I think PETA was outraged by the last Llama cartoon too. You guys should only publish jokes involving triangles with no text... although it is possible that the great-grandchild of a deceased person who was once traumatized by triangles will complain.
Just because he is using the wheelchair still doesn't mean he is mocking people with disabilities. Some people find it hard to use crutches all the time so they use a wheelchair which is easier to get around.
I honestly believe that if you are still angry over this you should talk to someone about this because this is just a cartoon. There are obviously bigger and deeper problems then the cartoon.
All the cartoon is depicting is a person with a BROKEN LEG, not a paraplegic. I'm sorry for your loss. I think what the cartoon is saying that people who need to use the handicapped bathroom are sometime denied by ignorant people. But I don't think in anyway was the cartoon trying to degrade people with disabilities.
