True freshman running back Roy Finch will miss OU's upcoming bowl game against the Connecticut Huskies in the Fiesta Bowl because of a stress fracture.

Finch sustained the injury to his left foot during the team's first bowl practice Friday, and team physicians performed minor surgery to insert two pins.

The injury occurred during a non-contact drill and is similar to the one that kept Finch out of the first five games this season.

With Finch out, senior Mossis Madu and freshman Brennan Clay will likely see more playing time alongside starting senior DeMarco Murray.

The Fiesta Bowl will be played Jan. 1 in Glendale, Ariz.
