Local label announces holiday concert at OU

Christmas comes a little early this semester with the announcement of "Checking it Twice: A Nice People Holiday Companion," a compilation album of holiday-themed songs — recorded by a host of Oklahoma artists — set to be released in December.

The album will be available for free on 12" vinyl and digital download. Vinyl pick-up locations will be announced in November.

In conjunction with "Checking it Twice," Fowler VW and Nice People are presenting a variety show Dec. 11 in Meacham Auditorium.

The show — hosted by comedian Wampus — will feature most, if not all, the bands that are contributing to the compilation album.

Nice People is a music label based in Norman.
