Gresham goes to Cincinnati Bengals
by   |  April 22, 2010  |

Former OU Tight End Jermaine Gresham will go to the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Bengals attempted to fill their biggest hole in the first round of the NFL draft, picking Gresham from Oklahoma with the 21st pick.

It's only the second time in franchise history that the Bengals selected a tight end in the first round. They picked Mike Cobb with the 22nd overall pick in 1977, when they had three first-round picks.

Former OU Quarterback Sam Bradford was the first round draft pick selected by the St. Louis Rams.

He was followed by number three pick former defensive tackle Gerald McCoy who was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

After McCoy, offensive tackle Trent Williams was the number four draft pick going to the Washington Redskins.

The NFL has completed selecting its first 20 draft selections.
